So spend your hours on What you think I've done wrong I know I'm in your mind I've been here way too long I want to spend my life With those who've done me right Your heart is frozen over I'm a four-leaf clover
Out of curiosity, any Star Trek fans here? Been doing a watch of the various movies. Just have Nemesis to finish off the 10 between the TOS and TNG movies. Excepting The Motion Picture and certain aspects of Generations I've quite enjoyed them.
I've been watching Picard

So star wars, as a franchise, is more similar to America, with the guns, space explosions, lasers, and massive military spending and whatnot.
Star trek, on the other hand, would be more like the British Empire, pretty much just colonization and exploration, minus the tea obsession.
Eh, kinda but kinda not.
Star Wars is definitely more battle/war focused. While Star Trek has some battles in it, not a major focus. So it is accurate to say Star Wars is more action-oriented.
Star Trek is more focused on exploring new ideas and situations with problem-solving. So you'll get episodes where there's an alien races or societies with very different perspectives from our own. So you get some though-provoking questions from things or see the characters having deeply held beliefs get challenged. Gene Roddenberry (creator of Star Trek) also modeled is as a future utopia society where people have risen above things like hatred and greed as a look to what we might be able to achieve.
But it's one of those genre giants. So I do really recommend you try it out. Personally, my introduction was with Star Trek: The Next Generation. It has some great characters and episodes. (Inner Light is a reasonable one to try out if you're trying to see if Star Trek is for you.) I really recommend giving it a go. And it has an episodic structure so you can pop in on most episodes without much issue and start watching from there without worrying you missed stuff from early episodes.
I'd be choosing between 1 or 3 depending on the vibe you're going for. First one has a feeling of mystery and wonder. Third one feels like something's about to start.

The third one feels like some sort of ceremony, like a funeral. It’s my favorite.
@Drummer, if I recall you also liked Sweet Tooth. Seeing the trailer for Season 2 drop was nice. And some of the scenes from the trailer have my mind twirling to try and predict some of what might happen.
It shows him getting strapped in a chair like Lizardboy was. But that process seems to have a low survival rate. So I'm wondering if Dr. Singh and Abbot will have their little spiels to Gus only for Aimee and Big Man to burst in and free them. (Or an escape orchestrated by the other hybrids.) Thinking that might be how they get out of the Last Man-occupied zoo at first.
Hey Vitus! Long time no see!
And yep, I really like Sweet tooth, and seeing the season 2 trailer drop was great (It took its time though). I'm not the best with predictions, but I think what you said has a strong chance of being on the right lines.

Oh, who was the first to say it? I came up with it, but I also know there was probably someone else who came up with it first.

This is a tough one…
the first one gives me Villain arrival vibes.
the second one gives me grand festival vibes.
the third gives me melancholic ceremony vibes.
i like the third one the best, with the first very close behind.
