Well Master Boogie-way the Tortle was a useful guide that helped a warlock learn that sheer willpower was the key to success in the dream-realm after having come out of a labyrinth that had challenges like a dance-off with a minotaur.
Had to balance the final fight a bit more (to be fair, it was already started by putting up a lv3 character against 6 flesh golems so I expected to be giving him big boons to not simply die) by not having the flesh golems go for the kill a couple times. But he had fun summoning a hezrou and a clay golem as allies and being able to intimidation enemies into having to move away from him and take psychic damage. (I kind of let him make up his moves as he went along.)
And as mentioned, this was an interlude in the middle of a fight another guy is DMing. So now he's up and conscious instead of being unconscious. So hopefully the two of us will be able to take down the BBEG we're fighting in our next session.
