Gosh am I just so proud that I don't have to act like my country is the best 100% of the time. So happy that I don't have to spend all of my time proving that it's the best by feebly pretending marzipan is a weapon and that McDonalds is the only thing important to Americans.
I'm done with this. I don't need to prove that America is the best. I don't even need to be passive-aggressive about it. America is so good that it doesn't care about what other people think.
Its government is the laughingstock of the world, but you know what? America owns it.
I may not be a "patriot" by most definitions, but that's because I'm not required to be. It's not that I don't care, it's that I'm not slapped in the face and told how important it is every three seconds by my government.

This is actually why I became a Christian. One of the reasons, anyway. I prefer the idea that eventually things can be better (in heaven where humanity isn't corrupt anymore) than the idea that there one of these stupid solutions will solve everything.
