I feel like running a combat encounter with a powerful creature but I don’t have any players higher than level 3.
What level are you looking to run? (I might be curious if you want to run a quick thing in ~2.5 hours. Just need to balance it with going to bed early enough.)

I’d say a purple worm, but I don’t know how powerful they actually are, i just like them
maybe something that can use spells? usually the weakest spellcasters are powerful enough to form a decent challenge to a few level three characters
i think that the dnd challenge rating is a bit different from how strong of monsters players can fight, because most of the people I’ve played with were more than smart enough to take down deadly encounters quite handily, especially when they’re a team
