Hey, if anyone wants to briefly advise me on something it would be much appreciated :)
Which concept is best?
1. The world is changing according to the whims of a secretive cabal of god-like wizardly cartographers called the Nine. Each of the wizards has their own plan for the world, but they each have limited control and their warring has caused untold pain and suffering on the people. This is why the world has some locations that are completely underwater, while other regions are uninhabitable wastelands. The wizards are very dangerous and very insane.
2. Every few years, the world undergoes a seismic shift that reshapes its lands into something new. The shifts appear to be entirely random, creating chaos and misery for the population. No one knows why some lands are completely underwater and others are uninhabitable wastelands, but everyone agrees that it has something to do with the Redlight — a mysterious red moon that appears when it is least wanted. During the three days when the Redlight appears in the sky, mountains rise, cities are flooded, and countless people die. It’s essentially a cosmic doomsday leap year.
This isn’t the real lore or anything, just a summary of my two favorite ideas. Suggestions for alternatives are also welcome. Right now I’m leaning toward the Redlight concept, since it’s much cooler and more mysterious than a few crazy wizards.
