So basically there are two teams, adventurers, and the Kobolds. The adventurers are trying to destroy the Kobold Warren (that’s what a kobold colony is called) and the Kobolds have to try and stop them by setting up traps and battle tactics.
That’s a work in progress lol, my first thought is that it’s an actual dungeon and there are basically “rounds” in which an entire dungeon crawl takes place, and the kobolds get a certain amount of points to spend on various traps to try and help them fight the adventurers, and once that’s done, you play like normal dnd with the kobolds playing as various different kobold statblocks (maybe you can spend points to upgrade your statblock to a higher CR one for one round instead of making a trap with those points) and the adventurers would be level 5 or something.
