I have a pet turtle at my dad's house. When I was working with my dad on setting up a fence, I went to check out the nearby lake. Caught in some of the terrain netting meant to keep the dirt around the lake in place was a baby turtle. I untangled him and possibly saved him from being stuck until he starved. I looked him over and he had moss growing on his chin like a beard and was blind in one eye. We took him home and I named him captain mossy beard.
