I feel like that sometimes too, I just never make anything cool, or I think it’s cool in the moment and then I realize it was an absolutely terrible idea. It sucks because I share it sometimes before realizing how bad it is
Don't downgrade your own stuff. The only people who like hearing you insult yourself are your enemies. Just keep making stuff up and your art will get better. Sharing with people is also a great way to improve your art.

The Aeroplane Over The Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel, from an album of the same name
its about the Holocaust and some other stuff, it’s one of the best Indie Rock albums I’ve ever listened to. The band uses intentionally low quality sounds and odd instruments (like singing saws) along with more normal ones to make an amazing and unique sound (also if you click on my quotes thread there’s a link to it there on the most recent post)

It’s not for any specific thing yet, but so far it’s really cool.
so the Stars are barely sentient deities, with the greatest among them being the brightest star. That star was so bright it attracted creatures from the depths of the void between the stars, giant great Moth Ones TM which smothered and snuffed out the star, turning it into a barren and rocky husk. From the core, a tree sprouted holding most of the Star’s original essence, called the afterglow. The afterglow gave away most of its power to allow life to grow by granting them fire and light. Once this happened, one of the great old one moth creatures reincarnated into this realm and overthrew the afterglow and lead the civilization into a corrupt advancement which mainly benefited themself, spreading the rumor that the afterglow was evil and had ulterior motives. It then created five knights with godlike powers in order to help it run its kingdom. We currently have three of the Knights designed, Serveo the Courageous, Sedzia the Pallid, and Sareika the Generous. Serveo helps inspire the world with tales of the moth God’s wonderful acts of good and is also the leader of the Knights. Sedzia the Pallid spreads propaganda with her magical voice, making others believe the moth god is the only benevolent force in existence. Sareika teaches people to be kind and share what they have, and also acts as a super powered tax collector. She can sense money.
Idea was to go for some longer hair. You feel like a theater kind of kid so colored converse with non-default laces. Headphones in a more effeminate color. Hoodie and t-shirt. For the face, kind of tried going with the round stuff. Added the freckles in and kind of an eyeshadow. Though I'm kind of curious how far off I was.
