I have a question. Do I need to have the sourcebook for a setting to DM a campaign in that setting? Cause I want to venture out of Faerun and go somewhere else for my next campaign.

The sourcebook is enormously helpful because it gives all the lore for the setting and special rules and stat blocks for creatures and NPCs for that setting, but you don’t absolutely need it. Most settings have one or more online wikis that have the basics you need to run the setting and a lot of the lore (though with some settings like Dragonlance and Ravenloft some of that lore may be outdated and no longer relevant to 5e).

That’s a good movie. I have no real plans aside from going to in-person D&D at my local library. Currently, our goblin captain is dead (though his sea hag adoptive mother will resurrect him as a hexblood), our crocfolk alchemist turned out to be a spy for the Craelis Empire and stole our Book of Vile Darkness, and the rest of the party (thri-kreen drug dealer with an abolethic past, cannibalistic elf druid who likes dinosaurs, and ventriloquist doll warlock who just burned down the whole city) have been captured by a party of adventurers seeking to bring us in to the government (we have quite a high bounty) and to save the princess we kidnapped. We’ve gone full evil party at this point, now we just have to roleplay our way out of there.
