Sorrowsworn are created by the dark powers basically to help the plane capture emotions. When a creature is filled with extreme emotions, usually only happening when they commit some sort o truly evil act, such as Strahd killing his brother, the shadowfell sucks them and the surrounding area into the shadowfell, where they become darklords. If the feywild didn’t exist, neither would emotion, and if the shadowfell didn’t exist, emotions would never stop, only become stronger. Each season court has one ruler, along with 5 other important Archfey, and then the unseelie and seelie courts each have 5 main Archfey, which include the rulers of the season courts and the rulers of those courts, as well as tons of other named Archfey that aren’t as important but still have stories and then there are tons of Archfey that aren’t part of any court but are still very powerful. I don’t have details for everything yet, but I’m working on it.

Yeah! At level 18 they could have an ability to basically create false realities that seem and feel completely real, but make no sense whatsoever. Like if you walk away from something, you’ll suddenly stumble upon it again except that the path you took away from it is gone, but not the path you took to get to it, even if it’s the same path. Like the guards and wards spell plus mirage arcane plus phantasmal force.
