My name’s Gradius, this is my second account :P I love Hollow Knight and I have been on ddb for a while. Come rp with me anytime! It is my purpose. My title that was given to me by Drummer is…SPIRIT OF THE WEST, GUARDIAN OF THE HOLLOWS.
No cost too great. No mind to think. No will to break. No voice to cry suffering. Born of God and Void.
My titles are the great Silver Dragon Lord of the Sky, Second in Command of the Dragon Cult, High Warlock of Cynophobia, High Cultist of Jeff, The Lightning Mage. I’m a ✨Chronically online teenage boy✨, and one of the most active posters on the forums (MORE THAN SALEM AND GONZALO). Always open to talk if you’d like to shoot me a PM! Please don’t hesitate to tell me I’m being a jerk or overbearing, I love helpful feedback! Love y’all!
so technically water isn't wet, it just makes other things wet.
But how could it make something wet without first being wet?
Because wet means having liquid on it, and water is a liquid, so other liquids will mix, sink, or float; but not make it "wet".
The sensation of wet is merely the temperature of water since you can't physically feel water, only its temperature, so when something is 'wet' you are feeling a quality of the water, not a quality of the thing that has water in/on it, therefore water is wet

So this then implies that nothing is wet except for liquids, because you only feel the 'wet' quality (the temperature of a given liquid) permeated in the substance of some other form of matter, not becoming an actual quality of the given substance
This may possibly be the most contrarian thing I believe, and no I am not playing devil's advocate I'm just a philosopher and I believe weird stuff lol

Counterpoint: when a solid object is wet, it changes the percieved texture of the object.

The only things adding water to a solid object does is change temperature and add weight, the consequence you are describing of a change in texture is likely due to the addition of water weight, not an actual change in texture

Hello, Kasrik! Haven't seen you in a while!
Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.
May each word that I speak be backed by each of my teeth.
Yeah, D&D Beyond was being kinda wonky for a while so I couldn't use it :/
