Some part of me feels like guns are actually less brutal than bladed weapons. I'd rather get shot and die than have my head cleaved in half, lose a limb and bleed to death, or have my guts slashed out. Obviously at a certain point like machine guns it gets kind brutal, but like a regular old action rifle or six shooter feel pretty civilized to me in a weird way obviously bullets are brutal too because you might die slowly of infection, it won't always be fast, but same goes for a lot of bladed stuff as well
You are more likely to survive a strike from a weapon other than a gun, though.
People in most civilizations aren't allowed to use guns without training, so their aim would be good, whereas anyone can fight with a sword or knife, whether or not they have training. So, logically, the chance of someone with a gun missing are lower than the chances of someone with another weapon - especially if you account for sights.
Counterpoint: One of the reasons guns took off is because it was easier to equip and train people to use guns than other weapons.
Easier to do so, sure, but only America actually does so to an exorbitant degree.
We’re actually fourth when it comes to gun ownership per household

Oh. I just see a ton of - I think they're called memes? - about how many people in America have guns.

Make no mistake, we do have a lot of guns, a lot of gun violence, and a lot of gun culture. Just because were fourth in guns per household doesn't mean we dont have a lot still. And we have 123 guns per 100 people I think, and its easy to get guns here. I live in New England, so its more mild, but states like Texas (which is a massive state) has really high levels of gun ownership

I mean a bunch of people do, but we don’t have the most. The actual problem his how easy it is to get one

Yeah. Oddly enough, a lot of the memes are about Texas specifically...

That makes sense.
Although... how many people get them without letting anyone know? Because that could throw off the count if more people in America (or any other one place, for that matter) do it in secret.

It amuses me that a tiny place like Rhode Island still has more than a bigger state like Massachusetts.
