Hello, all! I'm back on for at least a little while, but I may have to suddenly get off, and then it really will be a long time before I can get back on.
Which the PJ convo reminds me.
You said you don't like laces.
So do you wear slip-ons, velcro, or lock-laces?
I think the last one.
Although I have worn the other two before.

Yep. That's it. I just didn't remember for sure what they were called.

Neato then. Don't see too many of those around so you've got a distinct style you're rocking.

I always have liked to be unique.
I find normal things boring.
And fair. It's part of what drew me to toe shoes. (Though it's been a little while since I've worn them. Mostly been rocking the Crocs.)
Those are pretty popular in my area (the Crocs, not sure about toe shoes).
Toe Shoes had more popularity back in the mid 2010s but kinda faded since.
And yeah, Crocs are definitely popular. (And I get it. They're convenient and comforable.)
Also, was able to see Heroes of Faerun and this part of the Banneret stuck out to me.
Polyglot. You learn one language from the language tables in the Player’s Handbook or chapter 2 of this book. When you finish a Long Rest, you can replace a language learned from this benefit with another language you have heard, seen signed, or read in the past 24 hours.
Now I know the swapping out is a balance thing so you don't just learn every single language there is. But it strikes me as a hugely funny.
John: Yo, Greg? I didn't know you could speak Goblin. Greg: I can't. John: But you were speaking it yesterday! Greg: Yes. And? John: Well learning a language takes lots of effort to get it all in you. Surely you must still be able to speak it! Greg: I forgot. John: WHAT? Greg: I forgot how to speak Goblin. It's nothing but nonsense to me now. John: YOU WROTE A 5-BOOK TREATISE IN THE LANGUAGE! Greg: And I forgot it too! John: I can't believe this. Greg: (in Primordial) Me neither.

This sounds like the kind of conversation I have with my brother.
Really, really odd, silly, and also relatable.
Edit: Well, our conversations aren't as relatable.

And to share from me, I know the way my father and I talk can definitely be lost in translation and misinterpreted as hating eating rather than silly banter. (We like to rib on each other affectionately. I'll point out his lack of hair or be like, "Remind me why I love you in the first place." He'll egg at me.)

Well, yesterday, we had this conversation (I was a little out of it then...):
Me: "Did you make the apple cider yet?"
Him: "Yes."
Me: "Is it this murderhole serum in the fridge?"
*I use 'murderhole' to mean dungeons made to kill characters.*

Yep. The archer stuff would be arrow slits.
And generally they'd loose arrows from a few feet away from the slit for better accuracy. (See some demonstrations of medieval weaponry; can be fun.)
