My character is an Artificer and would have studded leather and a DEX of about 14 so my AC would be about 14.
Initiative roll: 7
That's awesome, for simplicity then we'll go for AC14 for everyone!
Initiative roll for the rugs: 19
Crilgor, looks like you're up first! the closest rugs are about 20ft. away, the rug hovering on the floor is about 10ft. away.
Okay. First of all, WIS roll: 7
Second of all, I run up to the hovering rug, bounce off of it, and deliver a kick and a punch to the middlemost rug. First to hit: 10 and 5 damage. Second: 7 to hit and 3 damage.

You bounce off the hovering rug, and deliver two strikes against the middlemost rug. a great deal of dust erupts off of it, but it seems undamaged.
Jerry, (and I say this with some trepidation), you're up!
God help us all
You’ll need it.
jerry is going to shout “FINALLY SOMETHING FLAMMABLE TO KILL!” He’s going to throw random things out of his pack at random rugs around him, grenades with napalm vials tied to them, chemicals, a few large fire works, it looks like reaper’s ultimate from overwatch if you’ve played it.
(because we aren’t using character sheets, I’m doing a fun, very powerful attack. If we want to stay close to the rules but without character sheets that is cool too, but I think it would be fun if we could do some awesome stuff once in a while. It’s fun if everyone is powerful, not just me, or some one else. So let’s all be powerful sometimes!)

I also don’t know what dice to roll here.
For starters roll a d6 to determine how many firebombs you throw.
Then I'll roll some saves for the rugs to avoid this deluge of incineration!

Jerry will finish and take a deep breath in through his nose, enjoying the smell of fire more than he should.
”hey test, science people! Can you add more rooms like this? It’s fun when there are things to burn, it keeps me occupied. I was thiiiiiiiiiis close to burning down the test chamber”
I run as fast as I can away from the fire. Which is (I think) 35 ft. per round.
Oh, yeah, you have to run through the fire to get out. It’s all around you.
"JUMP OVER!"
I try to get a little bit of a running start while not backing into the fire and then make a... well, if the fire is taller than it is wide, I'll do a high jump. If it's wider than it is tall, I'll do a long jump.

Okay, so 4 dex saves to avoid being hit by fireballs:
4, 17, 22, 14
In a stunning show of aiming, made all the more impressive by doing it whilst looking through your bag for more flammables, you manage to hit 3 of the rugs with fire bombs - one of them twice!
The closest rug takes 44 damage, and burns up in seconds.
Two of the rugs advancing from behind it take 19 and 26 damage. The first is now ablaze, and the second seems to falter in the air, before dropping to the floor in a smouldering pile.
The air is filled with the smell of burning rug and dust. Jerry seems to be enjoying it.
I run as fast as I can away from the fire. Which is (I think) 35 ft. per round.
The fire is mainly confined to the rugs; there is some splashed on the stone floor, but it's mainly one rug still flying and two piles of smoldering ash on the floor.

The flames are mainly on one side of the room, and aside from the burning rugs, the flames are burning out on the stone, due to a lack of fuel source. (Isn't it amazing how, since Jerry was revealed as a pyromaniac, the rooms have all been stone? weird!)

Well, that's good. I'll gather up some clips and try to clip the alive rug again. Wait, no, is there still a rug floating inanimately above the ground? If there is, I get on that and try to fly up to the entrance.

The rug seems to shudder slightly, but seems otherwise unaffected.
The rug lunges at Crilgor, 3, but seems dazed by the attacks sent its way, and its ponderous attack is all too easy for Crilgor to sidestep.
