I'm assuming that this is some sort of invisible thing which seems to be floating? or is it like when you go looking for a cricket and it goes silent and another starts up just off to your left?
Think minor illusion type thing. You hear something but there isn’t anything there.
Ok cool. 90% certain that's the whole cricket thing anyway, it's just wizards messing with people.
Fun fact: Thoruk once fought a minor illusion of a duck which someone cast next to his pillow as a joke. He failed his intelligence test and became convinced it was a "phase duck" which could not be harmed (his sword passed straight through it), and now considers it his ultimate nemesis. He destroyed the camp and used up a rage right after the long rest!
Back to the matter at hand...
I'm not really sure where to go from here. Thoruk, on the other hand, has become utterly distracted by the way his hands stick together and peel apart, and is also trying to stick them to the walls so that he can climb them.
Thoruk is now attempting (and failing) to climb the wall. After an age of time, you have no idea, the room again reshapes and you are adrift in a vast nothing.
You begin to realise that you are now sinking. Like someone pulled the plug to this great black sink of nothing. You swirl down the drain. Down and down and down you go before you reach another room.
You fall into this room from the ceiling, whereupon it closes as though there were nothing there in the first place. There is now a door. The walls are lit by torches in the brackets, and there are no other visible exits.
Well, ok. Uhhh yeah. Jerry will put down his device that was being prepared to burn down the facility. He won’t turn it off or dismantle it, he’s just saving it for later. He will take a green torch and put his hand in it, just to see if it hurts more then real fire. He will then take his results, the torch, and himself to the door and open it.

I think that now is a good time to explain that i have no plan whatsoever and was hoping that i could buy a solid hour by saying "visible exit"
If you want me to take over for the next room while you think of one just say the word, I've got a few ideas floating around I wouldn't mind trying out!

The doorway from the room seems to ripple, and suddenly where there was a wall is now a doorway leading into a room from which a steady, flickering light seems to be emanating. The walls around you remain the same unyielding and disappointingly unclimbable surface - the doorway to this new room is the only feature you can find.

And your hands are no longer sticky. I feel I should clarify that.
Farewell.
Thoruk looks around at the nothingness stretching to infinity in every direction and turns to shout to the others (who I assume are there too);
"Hey Guys! I think we got out!"

Thoruk’s skills of perception have reached nine thousand.
Farewell.

I'm still in, just I don't post on the weekend very much.

It appears that no one does. But that’s probably because they have lives.
Farewell.
Kraez was asleep and sleep-walking the entire time, by the way.
Kraez wakes up.

Ha! Surprise! I don’t have a life!!!
Neat. I admire his ability to fall asleep and stay as such smokehorn.
Farewell.
That is sad. Three cheers for the No-Life-Club! HIP-HIP... ah who am i kidding?
The fire however, seems to hurt more, but not burn as hot.
Farewell.
Oh. Hotness is what we need so green fire is a no go. What’s behind the door.
