Backstory: Left on the doorsteps of a monastery as a baby, the closest thing to a family Ja'han ever had was his fellow monks. As the child grew, he was taken under the wing of one of the foremost martial artists of the temple. The half-elf woman taught him how to turn his weapons from tools into an extension of himself. When he became a guardian of the monastery in his older years, he failed in his duty to protect his home from an unexpected enemy: his own master. Though he survived the attack, Ja'han never knew why his beloved mentor turned traitor to the people she had considered her own. For the past year he has made it his mission to be his god's instrument in the world, protecting those who cannot protect themselves and tracking down the traitor that destroyed his home.
Class: Druid (Circle of Spores) If UA isn't permitted, I will gladly update him
Backstory:

By a stroke of luck, a tree managed to fell the beast in one final blow, leaving only Dekker alive on the ground nearby. His people regard him as a hero, but the truth plagues the back of his mind. He has set out to prove to himself that he can be the hero his people think he is. To train hard and meditate over the lessons he has learned. Brave and cautious, Dekker set out for adventure.

Elhora’s mother was not an Ashari, but when she arrived pregnat to the remote village of Pyrah, the Ashari took care of here anyway. Just one month later she started laboring, a long and painful process that even the druids feared for her live and the baby. Suddenly, the rift between planes came to life, and a phoenix cross the boundaries and entered Exandria. The fiery bird flew directly to the hut that has the half-elf woman laboring. She opened her eyes and smiled whispering a “Thank you for coming”. The gentle warm and light that the creature gave helped her to finally deliver her baby. A red skinned tiefling, with two little horns and a pointy tail. The druids never asked, and she nevr tell the history of her pregnacy.
Elhora, wich means “Fire Touched” in Ashari dialect, had a nice childhood on Pyrah. Her mother never talked about her father, and she didn’t care. There was a lot of unaswered quesions to that half-elf and her child. How and why she had crossed all the continet alone and pregnant. Where did she heard of the remote village of Pirah and the Ashari people and looked for asylum among them, but she worked hard and helped in the village, so they didn’t ask. At Elhora’s 10th birthday, her powers awoke and she started a little fire in the village. Fortunately, Pyrah is the best place in Exandria to fight the fire, so no real harm was done. When all was calm again Elhora’s mother gave her a silvered metal medallion that she always wore telling her that one day she will knew everything but she had to keep the amulet safe always.
The Ashari are used to stand guard looing at the rift, not outside it. That’s why whem that night, five years later, they were caught off guard when that deonic like, winged creatures came to the village and attack it. Soon was clear that they were looking for something or someone very specific, for they left defenseless ashari untouched and continue their search.
Elhora’s mother took her and a few posessions and left the village just minutes before the attack started. But soon one of the creature found them and attacked them. Elhora’s mother fought bravely, but when a second creature, and a third joined the figth it was clear that they were doomed. The Elhora unleashed her powers over them, killing the creatures ,but wounded severly her mother, who falled uncounscious.
She managed to reach Vasselhiem carrying her wounded mother and look for help at the Morning Lord temple. The clerics took her mother who remained uncouscious. Elhora knew that it was her, or her medallion, what that creatures was looking for and that her other would be always in danger. She left the city that very night and has been on the run since then.
Violet was the result of true love between Reinhard III, paladin and son of Duke Reinhard II, and Amelia a beautiful half-elven healer in a nearby village. Naturally this didn't please Reinhards wife Darma, who was forced upon Reinhard as the result of a political marriage.
Violet was born on a very stormy night and during a complicated birth she exploded her mother's womb killing her in the process forever being shunned as the "mother murderer" in the village she would later grow up in. As Reinhard couldn't take Violet to her stepmother he entrusted her to his good friend a dwarven cleric named Gimon who taught her in the following years about bravery, honesty and virtue. (Class Sorcerer (Storm) 1) Unfortunately Gimon didn't know enough of the arcane arts to help her explain or control this gift that she herself sees as a curse. But he told her that wizards know a lot about controlling magic by learning from their spell books all kinds of arcane mysteries so she decided to become the greatest wizard of the world.
Things were going well and quite for some time until when she turned 16 when the world was turned upside down on Violet.
Her grandfathers health was finally fading and Reinhard realised that his younger brother Bertram was scheming with Reinhards own wife to betray him and take over the Dukedom once Reinhard II would pass away so he gave this strange powerful book, which he vowed to safeguard. He'd found it on an adventure with Gimon and now handed it to him to protect it from falling into the hands of his brother. Short after Duke Reinhard died, his son disappeared soon after and Bertram and Darma took reign.
Also during her adolescence members of the village finally began taking an interest in her. Namely a boy named Charles courted her now reflecting her mothers fair looks. Unfortunately their first intimate meeting once again turned into a disaster when Violet panicked and severly shocked him. Later a friend of Charles decided to teach her a lesson and tried to force himself on her paying with his life as he was deadly poisoned during kissing Violet. Gimon realised that this would finally give Bertram and Darma the chance to get rid of her once and for all, so he gave her the book (Background: Inheritor) with instructions to never open it and told her to flee while he tried to delay the manhunt.
Violet fled into the wilds. Surviving in this unknown enviroment proved to be difficult until one night when she was close to dying a vision told her to read the book to live and become the "wizard" she wants to be. When she read the book its alien magic taught her useful spells to survive (Feat: Magic Initiate). Over the next years the book taught her further arcane powers convincing her that she is a self taught wizard now (Class: Warlock(Great Old One) 2).
Her latest vision told her to finally leave the solitude of the wilds and so she's now headed whereever VOICE tells her.
Her goals are basically: Finding true love, helping people, learning to control her powers and finding out what happened to her father.
Race: Changeling (UA - with rewording on Shapechanger to make it clear it's just cosmetic)
Class: Rogue 1 / Warlock 2
Backstory:
Void was a simple Changeling charlatan and thief. He had worked up a few persona with identities so he could relieve people of their money and possessions.
While working for some local criminals, creating forged documents, Void, under the persona of Thallan Mirazana (High Elf scribe and document forger), saw an opportunity to make some extra money.
Going on a hunch from the information the criminals had provided, for the documents requested, Void was able to find a stash of stolen artefacts, in a riverside warehouse.
As Void, again in the guise of Thallan Mirazana, perused the items for something to sneak out with, the criminals turned up and spotted Void. In panic, Void grabbed an old tome from the pile of artefacts and made a break for it.
A Wizard among the group of criminals, let off a fireball at Void as he run for one of the windows. the explosion threw Void out of the window and into the river, where he was carried away by the current.
while Void was floating down river with the tome held tightly in his hands, a voice began to whisper in this mind.
"you.....you are mine....you are fertile ground...i will grow in your ground"
without fully understanding what was happening an otherworldly power reached into Voids mind and planted something there.
the next day Bram Farrow awoke on the shores of the river realised that his friend and companion, Thallan Mirazana, had been killed by the criminals he had been working for. taking the tome in his hand, Bram swore he would one day get revenge for his dead friend.
Void is currently trapped in his own mind, the seed of some elder god growing within. outwardly Void is always one of his 3 remaining persona's.
Frank Hardy: Wood elf rogue. Quick with his fingers, a shadow in the dark. Frank is afraid that the criminals who killed his friend will come looking for him, to get revenge. he is always looking for danger, ever ready to fight or run if cornered. others would do well to leave a little room between themselves and this one, or they may loose some coin, or worse, a finger.
Master Franz Harrington II: Human wizard. 4th son of the late Duke Broderick Harrington. Franz' whole family was accused of treason by an unscrupulous rival and executed by the crown. Franz was lucky enough to be away on business for his father, at an allies estate, when the trouble went down. the friend of his father's gave Franz an opportunity to escape, that he might live to reclaim his families honour one day. Franz is pompous and arrogant to any he sees as his lessers. for his enemies he has a cutting tongue and insults to spare. but if the going gets tough and it looks like defeat is imminent, Franz will run and save his own hide.
Bram Farrow: Half-elf bard. the heart and soul of his group of friends. Bram was born to farmers, but couldn't conform to that life, and set out to find adventure and sing a song about it afterwards. Bran is the one who holds his group of friends together, after Thallan Mirazana was killed. Franz is too 'noble' for his own good, and would probably get himself killed, if Bram wasn't there to help him out. Frank would descend into darkness and never be seen again, if Bram didn't keep him in the light. Bram worries the most for Frank, he doesn't look to be taking the death of Thallan, too well.
all 3 of the persona's believe they travel together everywhere. they subconsciously cast Silent Image to create other persona, when they need to see them, or be seen with them. most of the time, the other 2 are just out of sight. around a corner, over a hill, in a nearby shop, always nearby, or catching up. all of the 3 persona's automatically rationalize or hallucinate away any discrepancies with reality.
When Void sleeps he transforms back and forth between the 3 persona's and himself, each appearing different. Frank curls up into a fetal position and sometime whimpers. Franz has a concerned look on his face and sometimes mumbles unintelligently to himself. Bram usually looks content, with just a hint of a smile at the corners of his mouth, but sometimes a look of sadness will overtake him. when Void's true form appears, he looks distraught, almost manic. he will often make sounds of panic and fear, and sometimes loudly call out for help.
unless Void is woken out of his mental prison, while he sleeps in his true form, he will continue to be trapped until the seed planted there has germinated (level 3 warlock, unlock Pact of the Tome).
Born in a small, poor, but humble family, Aeryn found out that if given the opportunity he would go out in a thousand adventures just to make his family proud of him, but not only that, he also wishes to provide enough gold to his family, that way they can have the kind of luxuries they could never have before. This is why Aeryn decided to grab his father's shield and sword to go out, trying to find jobs that could lead on different kinds of adventures, that way he could explore a world unknown to him outside the city walls and win some gold for himself and his family. He was trained as a child by his father who was, in the past, a simple guard in the local city. Aeryn's fathers are still alive, always waiting for him to return back home. (a simple character designed to fit in any campaing/world).
Sounds like a bit of fun. I like wacky adventures.
Name: Cho King
Race: Human
Class: Fighter 3 (Samurai)
Backstory: Cho takes himself very seriously, being an honourable warrior in combat. It's a shame for him that his childish features and misleading phrasing means he isn't really the best at getting the message across. He was contracted to work for a nobleman as a guard for some time, but was left out of service after he made a social faux pas causing the nobleman to lose a lot of potential business. He now is a sword for hire, ready to "help" where he can.
Backstory: Borg thinks of herself as the Champion of her Tribe, she is the only one to survive the combat with in the tribe and carries with her a little peice of a banner that belongs to her specific clan. She has mostly done caravan guard duty and helped escort people from place to place, if their gold is good then she usual has no problem guarding them unless they insult her or her clan she is generally able to say a few words to them. She has gotten used to the judging looks of other races who look down on her, prefering to drink rather than deal with the harsh words. Borg spends a lot of her time hanging around taverns drinking and waiting for someone to hire her.

Kres - Aarakocra Monk - Level 1 - Lost Mines of Phandelver
Backstory- From the earliest day that he could remember Sol was drawn to care for others. Whether it was an animal in distress or it was a person of a different race. Even tho Sol was kind and helped others he wasn't always welcome by those of other races, being Giant kin led maybe people to wary of him. He spent lots of time reading and trying to refine his skills. His mother fell ill to a strange sickness. While out looking for herbs that might help cure the sickness, he came across a smooth egg size glowing stone. When he picked up the stone he was gifted a vision, the vision was of sylvanus. Sylvanas told Sol that he would help him save his mother if in return, Sol would leave his village and never look back. Sol took the stone with him has he hurried back to his village. When he returned he found his mother perfectly well and in good health. So to keep his part of the deal he pack up his things and left immediately. He now travels from town to town helping those who need healing in Sylvanas' name. He still has the stone, had the stone inlayed into a bracer he wears on his right arm.
Backstory: Wallace grew up in a small merchant village at the base of a mountain range. The village primarily served as a trade stop for caravans, where items, materials, and crafts from all across the land could find themselves being exchanged. Being raised around shop owners etched a bit of cunning and a silver tongue into him, and he learned a few tricks and skills from the people travelling through. As a teenager he chose to apprentice himself to the town blacksmith, Alberich. Alberich was stern, but there was no arguing that the dwarf was a master of his craft, and he was a good man. In time, Wallace began to regard the man as a grandfather figure, strict but just trying to keep him out of trouble and on the way to becoming a respectable smith. Life went on as normal for several years, until the day Wallace's village was destroyed. Without warning, a White Dragon descended from the mountains, destroying everything in sight. Most of the residents couldn't defend themselves, and many that could, including Alberich, died attempting to protect the village. A group of adventurers passing through managed to repel the beast, and those that fought the beast and lived were seen as heroes by the other survivors. Since then, Wallace's family relocated to a more urban area with the financial assistance of some friends and have made a new start. His parents returned to their merchant lifestyle, and his brother is a guard respected for surviving a dragon attack. Wallace, however, didn't want to just settle back down. He chose to set out as an adventurer. To see what lies in wait in the world outside his ruined home, to save people from threats like the one that destroyed his past life, and to someday hunt the White Dragon that got away.
Backstory: Essentially a mercenary, who travels from city to city looking for work. Gained magic from his grandfather, who was an Ancient Red Dragon and the idea to become a fighter from his father, who was a mercenary as well. He lost right hand in a battle with some bandits, which he replaced with a magical gauntlet with the help of his grandfather. He has an extreme prejudice against any thief/bandit because of it. He trained with the best fighters and magicians from an early age, then went off on his own to learn more and practice his profession, which he quickly became masterful at. He has a special love for his greatsword, which he calls "Dragonbrand".

Name: Taalomar (Dwarven for Forge; and yes, its that original. Come at me.)
Race: Warforged
Class: Cleric (Forge Domain)
Backstory:
Clan Crafters - Smiths and metal-forgers
Forge's first memory is of a great, pure white flame engulfing everything in sight, the sound of metal rhythmically striking metal, and a voice indescribable beyond seeming to come from all around, and reverberating throughout his very being. Little of it made sense to him, as did the information gradually flooding his mind of distant places and foreign concepts, but soon enough he came to understand before the "end" of whatever was going on, he would need to find something important. Something that could not be imparted as simply as what a "fork" was, or the difference b/w a dwarf and a hammer.
Forge never saw the great flames fade away, the hammering -- for that was what he came to understand the striking noise to be -- stop, or the voice for that matter notice when the voice disappeared. There was simply sudden, all-consuming darkness about, and a nagging sensation of emptiness that grew the longer he persisted in thinking of time.
For the first time Forge knew "fear" beyond merely the definition embedded into his mind. And for the first time, he experienced a longing for the comfort of the flame, hammer, and voice. What started as fervent wishing turned into shock as the most minuscule of flames appeared b/w his hands. Again, time lost meaning to him as he stared into the flame; its comforting warmth assuaging his fear.
The next thing Forge knew was the abrupt blinding flash of light followed by the mix of cheering and jests nearby of multiple voices. As his vision cleared the memory of before began to recede to the background, becoming in time the equivalent of a faintly remembered dream. Before he could come to terms with all of that, a pair of gnome male twins named Dig'ilbee and Dou'labee, and their dwarven compatriot Orig Bronzehelm quickly introduced themselves cohorts, inventors, and most of all his creators. Seeing no reason question this after the twins launch into some long winded explanation about the exact details of his "birth", he accepted it along with the name "Forge" later upon revealing a knack for smithing. They saw it even as something of a godsend as none of them -- not even the Dwarf! -- had made a point of ingraining the art during the process of creation.
Years later, Forge and the gang had made a particular name for themselves. The latter for being rumored to have reproduce an art thought long lost to time, and the former for continual proving himself to be more than just some golem assistant. While forge cared little for adulation so long as his creators provided him chances to rekindle the dream through hard work and dedication, the same could not be said of the brothers. In recent years they began to argue more b/w themselves about further advancement of the recent art and what to do w/ forge until finally, Dou'labee tried to mislead and spirit the warforge off.
Things did not go according to plan as his treachery was discovered early enough that Dou'labee redirected Forge elsewhere in the mountain while he went another way, promising to meet up again. This was a lie meant to put Forge up as a distraction. Curious, but still seeing no reason to disobey, Forge followed the gnome's instruction until he made it outside, waited for a time, and then came to the conclusion that he needed to go further to meet up.
An indeterminate amount of years later, Forge realizes his mistake, and thus now seeks to figure out how to return home. A task made easier said than done considering the numerous topsy turvy misadventures that happened throughout the years. Nevertheless, an undaunted Forge carries forth w/ largely only his first creation -- a crude symbol meant to represent his first inspiration -- guiding the way. Maybe if he asks this King Strong Armed or whatever about it, he might have answers! Or maybe his destiny lies elsewhere...

Malrakir has always been a swindler, a cheat, and a liar. He has a vicious card game. he decided to prove his might and have a game of cards with the devil. The stakes being, if the devil won, he gets his soul and enslaves him. If Malrakir wins he gets power. Needless to say after a long and harrowing game of poker Malrakir won the game with a smug in his face. Little did he know that he was swindled himself. While he gained his powers, he lost his soul to the Devil.
(gamble your souls kids. Or play poker with the devil for that matter)
Thank you to everyone that applied, and I wish that I could have accepted all of you! Unfortunately, I cannot, and I have contacted the four that I have chosen. Again, thank you all very much.

David Gearlock | Human | Artificer | Revenge Heist
Knox | Warforged | Cleric | Shadowthorn's Out of the Abyss

Kres - Aarakocra Monk - Level 1 - Lost Mines of Phandelver
Name: Sol Glowingrock
Race:Firbolg
Class: cleric - Life domain
Name: Wallace Freemarch
Race: Half-elf
Class: Rogue 3 (Swashbuckler)

Gained magic from his grandfather, who was an Ancient Red Dragon and the idea to become a fighter from his father, who was a mercenary as well.
