Or, you know, Path of the Totem Barbarian with the Bear totem at lv3, for resistance to everything except psychic while raging, on top of a d12 hit dice ;)
One of my player got that in our first campaign, and I gave him an artifact that gave resistance to psychic damage, just to make him feel like an invincible fortress. The party loved how well he tanked.
They liked him a lot less once they reached the higher levels, and charm/suggestion/dominate became more common. In a battle, the cleric actually tried dominating him back, and it ended up being a battle for his mind.
Quick character idea:
Tiefling Warlock of the Celestial, with the Infernal Constitution feat, casting Investiture of Stone
Resistance to fire, cold, poison, radiant, bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing.
Give him a couple items of resistance and he’ll never die!
It will at least slow death.

But, you know, resistance is cool ;)
