I have always had a soft spot for this spell, but have wondered about its potential for greater value. For instance, you had prepared detect magic througha glyph or warding. Activated it and then cast Project Image spell (as I can think of no other way to have both concentration spells up at once, feel free to correct me). Would the effect be carried over to your projected image? Similar question with something along the lines of a Paladin's divine sense.

Alternatively if your character had something like true sight ot darkvision would that also be accessable through your projection?

I believe that yes, a Detect Magic when cast / triggered using Glyph of Warding will last for the full 10 minutes, no concentration required.

And I would also agree that any special sense you have, like Darkvision would carry over to your clone from Project Image.
