Hey all. I'm throwing together a story for my next campaign, and I need a powerful being like a devil or an archfiend or something, who is linked to/heavily involved with nightmares. Is there anything like that, or do I need to invent one?
On the same vibe, dealing with dreams is a traditionally fae-like thing, as well as a psionic type thing (mind flayers). You can easily work either of those two enemy factions into the plot as well.

I think Dendar the Night Serpent might suit you well: http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Dendar
She may be a forgotten realms lore being, but it's easily relocated to any setting I guess.
Subclass: Dwarven Defender - Dragonborn Paragon
Feats: Artificer Apprentice
Monsters: Sheep - Spellbreaker Warforged Titan
Magic Items: Whipier - Ring of Secret Storage - Collar of the Guardian
Monster template: Skeletal Creature
That's perfect, thanks.
