Hello everybody! My party took a left when I expected them to take a right and long story short, I think they’re about to embark on a plane hopping adventure. They’re currently in the Outlands, making their way towards Sigil, the City of Doors.
My question is simple enough: what are some resources I can utilize in order to familiarize myself with these locales, and allow myself to craft a reasonable adventure for a group of relatively low level folks here? I’m willing to take on light home brew if I need to, but I’d like to keep it all as in-canon as possible before doing that. Older edition information is also accepted, as that can help shape and deepen my knowledge of the place.

I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?
The closest thing you'll find officially for planar adventures is Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes, but that's generally geared towards higher level play. I would say though that, given some understanding on the inter-planar lore coupled with maybe some of your own homebrew to make it work for your setting, you could get an adventure together without relying on published material.

Beyond getting yourself a copy of the original box set, there is a lot on the web to reference. Some I found after a quick search.

There are no 5e books that have information about the Outlands or Sigil.
The Forgotten Reams Wiki is a good place to start. The Appendix and References will have books (novels or rulebooks) that use those locations.
