This bag has an interior space considerably larger than its outside dimensions, roughly 2 feet in diameter at the mouth and 4 feet deep. The bag can hold up to 500 pounds, not exceeding a volume of 64 cubic feet. The bag weighs 15 pounds, regardless of its contents. Retrieving an item from the bag requires an action.
If the bag is overloaded, pierced, or torn, it ruptures and is destroyed, and its contents are scattered in the Astral Plane. If the bag is turned inside out, its contents spill forth, unharmed, but the bag must be put right before it can be used again. Breathing creatures inside the bag can survive up to a number of minutes equal to 10 divided by the number of creatures (minimum 1 minute), after which time they begin to suffocate.
Placing a bag of holding inside an extradimensional space created by a handy haversack, portable hole, or similar item instantly destroys both items and opens a gate to the Astral Plane. The gate originates where the one item was placed inside the other. Any creature within 10 feet of the gate is sucked through it to a random location on the Astral Plane. The gate then closes. The gate is one-way only and can’t be reopened.
Notes: Utility, Container
What would happen if you place one bag of holding inside another while on the Astral Plane?
Probably scatters everything in different locations there.
This item and its similars give me some questions:
Does someone have any answers or links for me? My appreciation in advance!

Whatever fits in the 4 feet cube inside space and can pass the 2 feet square entry, and weighing up to a total of 500 pounds, can be stored in the bag, which weighs itself 15 pounds either empty or full. Does this help you as information?
March 4th 2021 and we should be getting the ability to use bags and other such containers on our character sheet later this year...
Kobold wizard escape plan (to save the party!)
Ready the Dimension Door spell.
Tell everyone to hop into the bag of holding.
When everyone is in, yeet yourself away.
I would use the same School of Magic, which is used for "portal" like Spells, because when you are putting your hand into the Bag you are reaching into a pocket within the Astral Plane. So Plane Shift or Teleportation Circle are both under Conjuration Magic. So the Bag of Holding would have the Conjuration Attunement.
There is a system for it, encumbrance and variant encumbrance
This is amazing!!
If you put a bag of holding in a bag of holding will it open a gate to the astral plane?
Playing The Curse of Strahd and just completed the Wizards of Wine area and found the Green Gemstone, which because we have 2 Feywild connected PCs our DM homebrewed to be pinhole portals to the Feywild(which is why they help things grow so well!) My Query is would the gemstone(s) count as extradimensional space for the purpose of storing it in the parties bag of holding ? In other words would placing it in the BoH it create a gate to the astral plane?
If I fill a bag of holding with water and I am a grung with water breathing can I take my hour long rest inside the bag it hold about 60 gallons
Just be wary of the bag man
Im currently using one bug its a book of holding
The real utility of the bag of holding is to sacrifice someone to suck up the BBEG
If a player was an artificer or otherwise able to create the bag of holding themselves, would they logically be able to apply the type of magic used in the bag on an article of clothing (ie. the inside of a cloak) in such a way that they could ‘store’ their own wings in the pocket dimension(?) created by the clothing and therefore hiding their wings?
The bag of holding inversion rule is a 3E pathfinder rule. But my DM added it as a house rule.
It would hold 350 cubic feet of water like it does everything else right?
