Description

RIP Mercury
Have you seen Dungeons and Doggies by animal adventures? My wife regularly plays an awoken dog via those rule sets, and models them after different aspects of her service dog.
I would assume that blink dog is just a form of barking but they are intelligent enough to make it a functional language, but they don't have complex vocal or breath control required for sylvan, which i would guess is complicated even for an advanced language
Could someone tell me who painted this illustration? :)
I went through the illustrators' credits in the Monster Manual and still couldn't figure it out. I must have skipped the right person or they might not have the image in their current portfolio...
Supposedly, these creatures were created to combat the rampant threat of displacer beasts...formed from pure benevolence & joy, they are the protectors and close companions of good-aligned folk...especially righteous paladins.
While classified as Fey, due to their first appearance in the Feywild, no one actually knows where blink dogs came from...their origins are as mysterious as Creation itself.
Okay, these guys are though (compared to other monster of the same cr), have a interesting ability and keen smell. They are very funny to summon with Summon Woodland Beings both for combat or use Keen Smell and Hearing.
Is there a strong reason for these creatures not to have Pack Tactics?
Found a puppy in the faewilds. Named it Sunshine.
This is a valid Sidekick! It speaks the Blink Dog language, so it can be an Expert or Spellcaster Sidekick according to Tasha’s.
I agree.
It can't speak Sylvan but it can speak Blink dog... Spellcaster and Expert sidekicks need to know and be able to speak a language... Blink dog with fireball coming right up
hehe nugget
just gave this to my party as a pet for the fey wanderer ranger one of them is playing and they're already willing to die for it!
Now comes in not yet grown flavor ;D
Puppy!
Matt and Marisha both have pronounced words for the site.
Probably for balance reasons. The blink ability is pretty useful and pact tactics is very powerful. Having both would jump the CR making it a higher than a sidekick or animal companion
That is absolutely Marisha Ray lmao
I need its jaw...
thats cuz it is
