i want to boop the snoot
I was still watching C1, Vox Machina, when I wanted to really get ppl together and try to play. I did lots of pet research, I work with dogs for a living, and wanted to have a pet in game. I fell in love with Blink Dogs right away. Fae is my favorite type of "fantasy", and Blink Dogs mix my two favorite things lol. All the DMs I talked to said it would be complicated to domesticate, even though they have been in the lore. Then Nugget comes along lol, at least now it will be easier to justify getting a blink dog. But no ppl think its because of Crit Role, which all my friends know I watch. But I just got to Nugget this week, in Jan of 2023. I was binging C1 and C3, just now been able to catch up on C2.
some of the critical role cast does pronunciation work for the DnD monsters, so that definitely is lol
Kinda sounds like Laura to me lol
I always wondered why this and the worg are in Appendix A of the Monster Manual and not within the main body. They don't really fit among the normal animals much.
Also kinda weird that this, a literal animal, is one of the only 5 fey in official DND books that has a lawful alignment, (I don't count the two hobgoblins that show up as fey in the search, that's clearly a mistake) and the only one in the Monster Manual like that.
Why is Blink dog a language?
Blink Dogs are the literal selectively bred enemies of Displacer Beasts, and yet it would take 12 of these things in order to even match the CR of one. Displacer Beasts are known to occasionally hunt in packs/prides.
this guy is so cool can some of you guys come see some of my monsters
I know waiy does it know sylvan?
Is no one else going to mention that this is basically just lockjaw from the marvel comics inhumans?
I that has the ability to teleport
My party rescued a blink dog from a pack of hellhounds attacking it and now I have him as a familiar (our DM allowed it). It's actually really cool having him teleport behind an enemy while I cast Thunderbolt through him.
His name is Jeremy.
scooby doo
My blink snake is better. also, why do they care if it's similar
Makes sense they cannot speak. Lacking the necessary vocal cords. But with an intelligence of 10, I'd say with training they could get fairly sophisticated with communicating with barks, growls, whimpers, whines, pawing, body movements etc. At 10, they are more intelligent than some humans. By comparison, a mastiff has 3 intelligence. That's a huge gap. I'd allow it in my campaigns for sure.
Yeah actually.
