Fire Form. The elemental can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing. A creature that touches the elemental or hits it with a melee attack while within 5 feet of it takes 5 (1d10) fire damage. In addition, the elemental can enter a hostile creature's space and stop there. The first time it enters a creature's space on a turn, that creature takes 5 (1d10) fire damage and catches fire; until someone takes an action to douse the fire, the creature takes 5 (1d10) fire damage at the start of each of its turns.
Illumination. The elemental sheds bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light in an additional 30 feet.
Water Susceptibility. For every 5 feet the elemental moves in water, or for every gallon of water splashed on it, it takes 1 cold damage.
Multiattack. The elemental makes two touch attacks.
Touch. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) fire damage. If the target is a creature or a flammable object, it ignites. Until a creature takes an action to douse the fire, the target takes 5 (1d10) fire damage at the start of each of its turns.
Description
A faint humanoid shape shows in a fire elemental’s capricious devastation. Wherever it moves, it sets its surroundings ablaze, turning the world to ash, smoke, and cinders.
So Flippen cool
You know, if every other elemental uses Slam for its attacks, and the fire elemental deals almost as much damage using Touch as an earth elemental using Slam, why doesn't the fire elemental use Slam?
It likely has too little substance to slam; it has the lowest STR score out of the four elementals, and logically fast-moving water or air would hurt, and rocks would DEFINITELY, but this one is just fire.
put it in a chamber where the wate rwill flood so it would touch enough water to kill it
Revision to Water Susceptibility. The first time the elemental enters a body of water on a turn, it takes 5 (1d10) cold damage. The elemental takes an additional 5 (1d10) cold damage if it ends its turn in a body of water. If the elemental is splashed with at least 1 gallon of water or more, the elemental takes 5 (1d10) cold damage.
Wait wouldn't it just burn the balloon thing?
Airships are not hot air balloons in Ebberon. They are the same shape as a sea going ship, they just have a bound fire or air elemental in the shape of ring surrounding the ship.
Why does a Fire Elemental have Darkvision 60 ft. when it also sheds bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light in an additional 30 feet?
False.
"Water Susceptibility. For every 5 feet the elemental moves in water, ..." This would be the same as water moving over it. It takes 1 damage, 2 at most.
same bro
That basically just means that it can see in the 30ft of dim light as if it were bright light, I guess.
Seems redundant.
As the gallons of water wouldn't hit the fire elemental all at once, would tidal wave or similar magic simply knock the druid out of elemental shape by dropping the fire elemental to 0 hit points, as once they revert to their normal form they would have "immunity" to water damage? Asking for a friend...
To make it at least a little less broken, I might make it 1 cold dmg./cubit foot.
But can it attack a creature while simultaneously encompassing the creature?
How does a touch attack work when it takes up the same space as a creature?
Second best. A dinosaur is always first best. Stats be damned
I'm partial to earth elemental. With a burrow speed and earth glide, you are effectively untouchable. Concentrate on moonbeam, use your tremorsense to target enemies, and just pop up, beam as many as you can, then pop back down. Yes, you aren't as damaging as this monster that can set whole enemy teams on fire, but you are nearly impervious to all damage as you always have full cover and cannot be seen or heard in any way. The only way to attack you is for the enemies to hold their action and hope you pop up in range/in front of them.
These things don't go down elevators well.
So here is A idea... (Need some recommendation's) What about trials to "combat" A fire elemental... In all actuality it is to bond and become allied with the elemental?!
