Flyby. The snake doesn't provoke opportunity attacks when it flies out of an enemy's reach.
Actions
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1 piercing damage plus 7 (3d4) poison damage.
Description
A flying snake is a brightly colored, winged serpent found in remote jungles. Tribespeople and cultists sometimes domesticate flying snakes to serve as messengers that deliver scrolls wrapped in their coils.
IT'S A FLYING NOPE ROPE!
weird how the bite doesn't have a con save like other snake bites in 5e. I feel giving its 3d4 a DC10 CON save or half damage would help balance the CR1/8 creature. A fight against a CR1 group of these would be deadly for a level 1 party.
Ok but like this is actually awesome. I'm gonna add this to my campaign and make it so it's enchanted to talk, and it asks you a riddle and eats, idk something odd, and if you answer the riddle correctly you get to keep it, and you can keep it as a takeable pet, but it only talks when you feed it that little bit of (insert random object)
is there a giant version?
Can you keep it as a pet? And if yes, where do you find it? Do you buy it, or tame it in the wild? I think it would be super cool to have a flying-danger-noodle as a pet
Could I use this as a familiar or not
My dm made the mistake of adding this as flavor for an enemy and now it’s my best friend
I'm using these as post deliverers, like owls in harry potter but snakes and cooler
cool is there a race that can become that at will
What a good snek. 10/10 would boop that snoot. *boop!*
It's my new familiar!
They're pretty useful. I discovered this creature through the adventure Waterdeep: Dragon Heist and the character Urstul Floxin.
I just got one of these in my campaign and his name is caw I can't believe this is so good
new to dnd willing to have one as a pet but could someone explain to me the Hit: 1 piercing damage plus 7 (3d4) poison damage.
i tried doing this, but my DM hates fun, so he chose not to allow it.
He fast af
