DK! Donkey Kong!
As a DM I wouldn’t count it since the shield would be too small to defend its large body, I’d make the players go on a quest to forge a massive shield LOL
Definitely did not use glyph of warding to make two of my 7 level party members into this
or True Polymorph.
Monkey stronger than shark
Also, apes are not monkeys.
nothing
Im not sure how polymorph is debatable
I'm making a western campaign with American folklore and this is perfect for adding the Beaman Monster https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beaman_Monster
you can polymorph into it as soon as you unlock it as a druid... it is actually extreamly useful for that as well, I am currently playing a druid that uses starry form dragon and then just polymorphs into it. Literally easy af and useful too!
You can also then cast Enlarge on said raging Barbarian. He becomes Gargantuan sized, matching Tarrasque.
Or, you are the ooze.
To be honest I think a werewolf would be better to represent it, considering its size and its wolflike features. Just remove the shapechanger trait, classify it as a monstrosity, and have it permanently in its hybrid form.
Wait, am I the only one to notice how it has a rock attack? Like, all the time? Even when there’s no rocks around? Or does it just constantly carry a rock everywhere it goes?
Doesn't necessarily have to be a rock. Could be a piece of loose masonry, a fallen tree trunk - even a lovely bunch of coconuts. It doesn't have to be literally interpreted as a rock, as long as the damage output matches up.
Also, point of order on using Polymorph with class features:
If you Polymorph your Barbarian into an Ape, they are no longer a Barbarian. They are an Ape.
It's not like Wild Shape where you can still use preexisting class features. Your class changes to Ape.
Or the traditional weapons of giant apes, barrels.
What if I just want a large-sized ape? Are there stats somewhere for a juvenile Giant Ape?
Hey I am in a game that I have Polymorph, we are facing have resistance. I was wondering is there any way that the barbarian, can be polymorphed into a giant ape or other can wield a weapon, and would they have proficiency?
Moon druids can do it at level 14
