*pauses* and if i were to make a gnoll PC...
gnoll pc race when?
I believe that is the appeal.
Kind of wished this was an Playable Race...
Would love these to be a playable character.
fun fact 6 knolls vs 3 people all under level 3 is rough
Also Eberron if using Eberron they are an option. The gnolls were mercenaries during the war.
My party killed one of these in 2 hits and they are level 1
That's so many Gnolls, why
Wait, they get the armor bonus of wielding a shield, but they also have shooting a longbow as an action? Aren't those mutually exclusive?
Just minus 2 ac when they use the bow.
I just love this comment and Id have to give it to the players, unless the DM is trigger happy
Encontrei uns Gnoll na Tumba de Demara. No AD&D no jogo First Quest
E em Tormenta d20 também e quase morri pra um deles.
Eu acredito que sim. Dependendo da arma que os gnolls estiver carregando eles fariam um estrago grande em um grupo de nivel 4
If I would make a Gnoll Character I would be a Barbarian, Ranger, and Monk. The backstory option 1 is Raised by Humans, Elves, or Dwarves for a good Gnoll. normally a Gnoll would be Chaotic Evil with their Pack or Warband. Option 2 would be from a very far away land that has many harsh conditions.
You'd probably be able to, even if you have to make your own (reasonable) stats. However, it would all be up to the DM to decide if it's allowed or not.
I know that everyone says the bokoblins from breath of the wild are like goblinoids, but I think the bokoblins are more like gnolls. If you switch out Yeenoghu for Ganon, their lore is almost exactly the same.
The CR is incorrect for the gnoll. Its offensive CR would be 1/2 (average spear damage is 6, plus rampage is 8). Its defensive CR is 1. 1 + 1/2 = 1 1/2. Divide that by 2 and you get 0.75. round that up, and you get 1. Its challenge rating should be 1.
The CR is incorrect.

How are Gnolls 6 Intelligence and yet use armor and weapons? Quaggoths and Troglodytes have the same Int and yet don't use either, and Apes have identical Int and Cha (and we all know they don't craft spears). Ogres and Hill Giants are dumber, but they wield "greatclubs" which are probably just uprooted trees.
