I mean if you're doing rolled you can have a character with 6 int, and they could still be a Fighter/Barbarian/Rogue.
i think these guys deserve to be playable in the main game (aka not homebrew), what do you guys think? they could have all the strengths and weaknesses they already have plus some new ones. not all gnolls are evil!

ability score increase
your strength score increases by 2, and your dexterity score increases by 1.
age
gnolls reach maturity around age 7 and rarely live longer than 100 years
alignment
Most gnolls are chaotic evil, As they see the world as a place ripe for destroying and killing.

your size is medium. gnoll range form about 5-6 feet, but look shorter due to always being hunched over.
speed
your base walking speed is 30 feet
Darkvision.
Darkvision. You have a hyenas senses, especially in the dark. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. you cant discern color in darkness only shades of gray
bite
Your fanged maw is a natural weapon which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with it you deal piercing damage equal to 1d4+your strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.

Sooo, Gnolls aren't playable here but I'm still making one anyway.
I think the intent here is that things like ogres, orcs, goblins and hobgoblins can be good because theyre born from a womb and are a product of their environment. Gnolls reproduce similarly to zombies. Then again beholders and mindflayers are created atypically and there are good aligned examples of both.

You could probably homebrew a playable version of this, although I don't think there's a premade one.
Why is it that gnolls only speak Gnoll, but there is no gnoll language available in the drop down language lists for characters?
