Traits
Undead Fortitude. If damage reduces the zombie to 0 hit points, it must make a Constitution saving throw with a DC of 5 + the damage taken, unless the damage is radiant or from a critical hit. On a success, the zombie drops to 1 hit point instead.
Actions
Morningstar. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) bludgeoning damage.
Almost died to him :(:(:(
boohoo
Saving Throws WIS +0
This may be a typo I think!
I think it's correct, a +2 in a WIS Saving Throw would bump it from a -2 to a 0.
Just seems odd to list the +0 modifiers but I guess you're right.
Does Undead Fortitude every time the monster is reduced to 0 hit points or lower?
Yes, as long as its not a critical hit or radiant damage. As a flavor technique, I would also say that fire damage could temporarily negate this ability as well.
BEST 1st level dungeon "BOSS" monster!! hands down (maybe tied with Minotaur skeleton)
Look at their WIS
So if I build a necromancer caracter then what is a "fair" limit to the amount of these I could control
Well if you want to be technical you could control one using the necromancers 14th level ability, you could create one by killing an ogre with negative energy flood but it most certainly wouldnt be under your command.
If you want to talk about fair homebrew, you could retool the create undead spell to allow you to make 1 of these instead of the 4 ghouls option.
They are dumb. The zombies.
Bru this guy look's so cool. I think I will use him in one of my encounters but i wounder does he has any constitution base saving throws?
Shouldn't the Morningstar attack deal piercing damage instead of bludgeoning?
na it means he is "proficient" when with a 6 wisdom it would otherwise be -2.
DUDE, THIS GUY IS FREAKY!
mano como que acaba com a regeneração dele?
I just love having the twist that an undead isn't just some human brought back by a necromancer but it's actually an undead version of another monster they've previously encountered. This and minotaur skeletons are just perfect and add more diversity to the classic mindless horde
Do you think this would be a good boss for a level 4 wizard and a level 4 ranger, they also have a goblin npc in their party he’s basically a normal goblin with higher intelligence and multi-attack.
I LOVE that these zombies in 5E can be both types of Zeds. Runners and Shamblers. Without the limiter on their movement speed anymore your zombois could be dashing across the battlefield crashing into and over everything in that epic chase scene. Like in the movies =]
