Keen Senses. The pseudodragon has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight, hearing, or smell.
Magic Resistance. The pseudodragon has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Limited Telepathy. The pseudodragon can magically communicate simple ideas, emotions, and images telepathically with any creature within 100 feet of it that can understand a language.

Sting. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 2) piercing damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 11 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned for 1 hour. If the saving throw fails by 5 or more, the target falls unconscious for the same duration, or until it takes damage or another creature uses an action to shake it awake.
I found one, and got poisoned trying to tame him.
Played a ranger and went the path of the beast master. Adapted the game to have one. It was pretty hot
My DM sold me 1 for 15 gold and im proud of it :)
My DM wouldn't allow an actual Pseudodragon since I am a Wizard but he did let me re-skin my Owl to visibly be a Pseudodragon.
Good news! You can make one a sidekick maybe!
probably not a spellcaster.
So my DM did something crazy. My character is a bronze Dragonborn who never met her father. I encountered one of these little guys on a quest from my guild, and after taming him, I had to battle a young blue dragon. The blue dragon hurt my companion so I flew into a rage, and when I did, my little pseudodragon turned into a FULL-SIZE ADULT BRONZE DRAGON!!! Of course, my DM had to tie it to my backstory, so the dragon is my father and his name is Mushu. Thank you for your time.
No where does it say that only warlocks with the Chain pact can have them. The variant rules say any wizard or caster. That is just internet talk trying to rumor this.
i added this dragon into my last adventure.
it is now a sort of sidekick.
just what i was thinking
I'm playing a Warlock with one, and I love it. The roleplay options are rather entertaining as well.
Sadly due to the fact that the pact of the chain creature is actually a fey and not a true pseudo-dragon it does not also transfer its magic resistance to you. You need to make a deal with a true pseudo-dragon to gain its magic resistance :)
there so cool
It cannot because its type is dragon not beast
That is unless you find and tame one without the use of the familiar spell
must i have to add to collection
I'm going to ask my DM to use this for Swarm Keeper Ranger. 🙃
My groups DM just threw one into the cavern we're exploring, letting us find it locked up in some side room. We found it and freed it and named it Sparky and it is now our precious baby boy, mascot, and buddy.😊😊😊
Im new to all this, but I just picked up a dragon egg, and I'm so happy.
I just wanna pet it
Or with the Ranger beast master archetype.
