Keen Hearing and Smell. The wolf has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.
Pack Tactics. The wolf has advantage on attack rolls against a creature if at least one of the wolf's allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn’t incapacitated.
Actions
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (2d4 + 2) piercing damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 11 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
holy shit what XDD that's amazing!
how?!
How many pounds of food do you get when you kill a wolf?
Our druid summoned 8 of these to fight a young blue dragon. They knocked it prone.
i love him
How does a bite knock you prone???
How do you tame a wolf :’D
Your best chance is to take care of it from birth to build up a bond with it
Oh thanks UwU
Passive perception only works within 5 feet of a creature, so if whatever you or you're wolf are trying to detect is further than that, then you have to roll.
Additionally, you could argue that the Wolf's natural advantage on Hearing & Smell might grant a +5 bonus to Passive perception using either sense.
It's awesome to play a druid and play a wolf
The save for being knocked prone is done always or only if the bite attack hits?
Awoooooood you look at that. More wolf than you can wolf a wolf at.
Why doesn't any of the wolves have darkvision?
I don't know about earlier editions, but this is entirely incorrect for 5e. Passive perception is simply a way to determine how perceptive someone or something is, when they are not looking in a specific place/taking an action to search.
"A passive check is a Special kind of ability check that doesn’t involve any die rolls. Such a check can represent the average result for a task done repeatedly, such as searching for Secret doors over and over again, or can be used when the GM wants to secretly determine whether the characters succeed at something without rolling dice, such as noticing a hidden monster."
It is so fun being a wolf.
help is it 7x2d4+2
Can they be tamed?
Oh Sweet
Me too. I have two pet wolves in my current campaign due to animal handling and I named them Artemis and Apollo and I think if they die I will cry.
