Description
A worg is an evil predator that delights in hunting and devouring creatures weaker than itself. Cunning and malevolent, worgs roam across the remote wilderness or are raised by goblins and hobgoblins. Those creatures use worgs as mounts, but a worg will turn on its rider if it feels mistreated or malnourished. Worgs speak in their own language and Goblin, and a few learn to speak Common as well.
Worgs are harder to kill than goblins.
Aren't these from. Lotr
LOL
D&D is heavily inspired by LotR
What book are these in I can’t find them in Monster Manual
im gonna use this in my next adventure.
They are in the appendix of the Monster Manual.
basic rules
Look in the index it shows all the categories and subcategories of monsters Worgs are in there I promise
Note to self, take “Worg” as a language at some point.
I want one as a pet.
lol only if youre a goblin
Using these.
It's crazy some of the languages that are just casually mentioned in the MM that show up nowhere else. Worg, Winter Wolf, etc.
These things are evil monsters, but I stand by my belief that all dogs are good bois.
DM: You are ambushed by ravenous worgs.
Me: I wanna go pet the dogs.
DM: What?
Me: I'm gonna go pet the dogs.
DM they bit you
Me: I keep petting them
!
“Giant Eagle” is particularly great, because they speak so many other languages that it’s incredibly unnecessary.
Theres a simple reason why, other races can't speak them. It would be like a human trying to bark like a dog or chirp like a bird
Why do goblinoid militaries use ogres for howdahs instead of worgs? Worgs are much more loyal and can understand more advanced orders, vs the ogre which is just there for their next meal and can hardly understand basic math.
