Description
CR 1 : DCR 1/4 - OCR 3
Beedrills are large bipedal, yellow wasp creatures, and the adult forms of weedles and kakunas. Their heads are round with a slightly pointed mouth and large, red compound eyes, and they have black antennae with a sharp bend in the middle. They only have four insectoid legs, the forelegs being tipped with long, conical stingers, using the other two legs to stand. Beedrills have two pairs of rounded, veined wings and another stinger on their yellow-and-black striped abdomen.
Beedrills are highly territorial and control large territories in temperate forests. Unlike regular wasps and bees, they do not live in hives, working together to solve basic problems regarding food, territory, and reproduction without any singular breeding pair or "Queen." They take great care of their weedles and kakunas younger forms, responding aggressively to those that disturb them, flying at high speed and attacking using the large venomous stingers on their forelegs.

Hooks (1d4) :
- The party finds a lone kakuna at the foot of a fallen tree. It remains motionless and defensless. If the party approaches, beedrills attack to defend it !
- Weedles are multiplying in dangerous numbers in the nearby forest, they and kakunas need to be found and culled before they turn into their adult form and become an actual local threat. A few beedrills have already emerged and are defending their kin.
- The local weedle population, as well as kakuna and beedrills, primary food sources for many creatures, has been greatly reduced recently, throwing the local ecosystem's balance into peril. Whatever, or whoever, is causing this must be found and stopped, lest hungry monsters come closer to town to feed.
- A lone beedrill begin following the party. Lone survivor of its clutch of kakunas, it seems to have a grudge against a specific party member.
