Animate Dead. Bhaal can cast animate dead at will.
Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If Bhaal fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead.
Reaper of Life. All of Bhaal's attacks do an extra 36 (8d8) necrotic damage.
Regeneration. Bhaal regains 20 Hit Points at the start of his turn. If he takes radiant damage, this trait doesn't function on his next turn. Bhaal only dies if he is reduced to 0 Hit Points and doesn't regenerate.
Special Equipment. Bhaal carries a Scythe of Bhaal, and a Cloak of the Ancients (see my homebrew magic items, links in the comments). He is attuned to both.
Scythe of Bhaal. Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 14 (2d6 + 9) slashing damage and 16 (3d10)+ 36 (8d8) necrotic damage, and the target must make a DC 21 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned for one minute. While poisoned in this way, the target takes 4 (1d8) necrotic damage at the start of each of its turns. The target can repeat the saving throw as an action, ending the effect on itself on a success, but taking 15 (3d10) necrotic damage if failed in this way.
Paralyzing Touch. Melee Spell Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 10 (3d6) cold damage. The target must succeed on a DC 21 Constitution saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Bhaal can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Bhaal regains spent legendary actions at the start of his turn.
Attack. Bhaal makes an attack.
Magic Item. Bhaal uses a property of either the Scythe of Bhaal or the Cloak of the Ancients.
Animate Dead. Bhaal casts animate dead
Description
The Lord of Murder, was a god of death who favored murders that were carried out through violent or ritualistic means. Originally a mortal of Toril, Bhaal ascended to godhood along with Bane, the Lord of Tyrants, and Myrkul, the Lord of the Dead. The trio took on the portfolio of the ancient deity Jergal, and came to be known as the Dead Three.
