Pirates, asteroids, and all sorts of deadly creatures await adventurers that venture into the cosmos. Spelljammer Academy is a series of four adventures that prepare characters for Wildspace and take them from levels 1-5. Once they've completed their academy training, they'll be ready for Light of Xaryxis, the adventure included in Spelljammer: Adventures in Space.
What Is Spelljammer Academy?

Red it yesterday (7/13/2022) and when does the second part come out
I'd also like to know when the second/third/fourth parts come out, just ran it for my group and they all had a good time. I imagine they'll come out each week until official Spelljammer 5e release?
I believe that info is available through unearthed arcana.
when do the next parts of the spelljammer academy adventure series come out?
Man i needed that informason (sorry bad grammer)

Very nice. I did need to make some additions to the obstacle course, as having a character who could fly trivializes it. So, I split the flyer off and gave them a different set of challenges:
1) Fly through a strong wind: DC 10 Strength Save. Player got advantage by flying up, then angling down and turning it basically into a dive.
2) Fly quickly through three hanging rings at different heights and locations DC 10 athletics/acrobatics (Player got advantage for using mage hand to lift one of the rings to make the height even.
3) Endure an illusory storm: DC 12 Con save
4) Hit the instructor with some sort of attack/spell the instructor was an armored aarakocra and dodging, so disadvantage attack, hit AC 14 (in the end, the player used sleep to actually land an effect)
Hey, sorry, I'm running this campaign today, just to start some people off before I can purchase and read spelljammer, what's damage threshold from the ships in this second part of the unit? Thanks.
Edit: nvm found the rules for damage threshold. It's already in one of the books.
If you didn't already know, it's out now.
You should put them up on DM Guild,
I’ve been running this with my kids and we have had a great time. These intro adventures have been fantastic.
I thought it comes out 13/8/2022
Edit: 16/8/2022 I meant
Edit x2: did you mean Part 2 of Spelljamers academy
Adventure 3 has the travel times wrong for the inner planets. Why would they be further away than the outer planets in terms of travel time and distance? (The map / handout is correct)
The travel times are based on how far they are from the edge of the system rather than being related to their distance from the sun, which feels a bit backward to me personally. I don’t think they’re incorrect though
I am enjoying the Spelljammer academy but my criticism is that it feels like it's for a younger audience. Maybe because I've played through some of the "darker" adventures but I'm wondering if that is just this mini adventure or if that is a trait of the Spelljammer books to come?
Its just a mini adventure to help get you hyped to buy spelljammers in space.
There`s no any connection to Light of Xaryxis, as it was promised.
So there`re lot of lines remain unquestioned. Who is Vocath? What conflict he has with Mirt? What the hell is going on? How does Spelljammer Academy graduation helps characters in LoX?
That`s not a LoX prepare, that`s just unfinished adventure.
It's 8/16 and I'm really disappointed that this is no longer available. I preordered Spelljammer on D&D Beyond and purchased physical copes from my FLGS but with the adventure included starting at level 5 I'm left with a large gap to get them into the provided content. Please allow us to claim it, I'm sure many people would like to pick it up on release day.
