Hi all, the DNDBEYOND23 code is now recognized by the mini site. Instead of saying the code is invalid, it now says "Discounts calculated at checkout". When checking out, you can see the rebate on each mini in the right column.

The 2022 calendar now has a message saying it's ended and the contents aren't available now. What were the paper printables on it?

I think one was a Dangling Owlbear printable, there was another dangling printable (I think it was a bat?); there was also a printable colorable picture of a Yeti. 

2 days ago you could access the old advent calendar - but soon after Xalkyrr posted the link it became inaccessible due to, I think, the D&D staff taking down the link.

 You’re correct. The old calendar now displays a message that’s utterly nonsensical:

“Calendar has ended. This calendar has ended. It started on the 24/12/2023 and lasted for 20 days.”

First of all, the 2022 calendar certainly didn’t start on Christmas Eve 2023. Secondly, today is Christmas Day (ie. the 25th of December), 2023, so if the calendar did start on the stated date then it would only have been going for a day so far, and therefore should still be available if it truly “lasted for 20 days.”

Hanlon’s Razor suggests this is probably more abject incompetence from the DDB team, and not something more calculated. OTOH, that statement is so blatantly inaccurate that it’s almost approaching Ministry of Truth levels of falsehood. I’m completely baffled how they managed to push that to client-side without a single person catching it. (An argument could be made that it’s Christmas and they shouldn’t be expected to put in full effort on work done right now, when it’s not especially “important” and could be edited for correctness after the holiday; I’d be amenable to that argument, except that the argument would seem to suggest that taking the old calendar down right now was likewise not “important” enough in the first place that it couldn’t wait until after the holiday. If they were insistent on getting it taken down right now—if that was important enough that it couldn’t wait until after the holiday—then surely it was likewise important enough to do correctly.)

 A likely reason it got taken down yesterday (24/12/2023) is because when the marketing/sales team finally got around to evaluating the abject failure that was this years calendar, they must've realised a major point of contention within the community was the comparison between this years and last years calendar. For example, the fact they removed the $20 Player Bundle discount code and instead reused one of last years 'gifts' (the Beholder card on day 22). They probably figured by quietly removing access to 2022's calendar, they could avoid further trend spotting of their downward spiralling trajectory by the community.

Pretty lame overall. Discounts are nice, but could've been much better. Oh well. Merry Christmas!

Worst then last year, and mostly the same stuff. 

So I got the toaster… not sure why I needed that in my life.

Not even good discounts either. Mostly all trash. It’s so lazy you have to wonder why they bothered with the calendar at all. Look at Kobold Press! Now those folks know how to run a good advent calendar. C’mon, WotC.

If a post has a long duration and implies repeated interaction across the entire active period then perhaps make it so that it doesn't get pushed off the front page of the site within the first few days. 

They actually gave out a couple books/adventures last year so while they gave out discounts last year and this year, last year was better because they actually gave out some free stuff. 

This year all we got was spelljammer academy and vecna dossier 🥲

These aren't gifts, they're coupons.

 and a vidio game thing, orniment, coloring sheet, music sheet, and 2 sets of virtual dice but last year looks like ot was almost every other one is a free pront out or something also the coloring sheet and gidio game at lest were for last year as well i think mayne more of thoughs were last year my phone isent showing me 2022 days 1-4
