FAQs
Are the digital expansions exclusive to the Ultimate and Digital Bundles, or can I buy them separately?
Each digital expansion will be available on the D&D Beyond marketplace on the release dates listed above. The Ultimate Bundle saves you money if you're looking to experience the most expansive take on the Forgotten Realms in Dungeons & Dragons history.
What is Astarion’s Book of Hungers?
Astarion’s Book of Hungers is a digital expansion that sinks its teeth into vampire-themed storytelling. Dungeon Masters and players alike will find new character options—including the Dhampir species, 18 feats, and three vampiric backgrounds—perfect for adding gothic flair to any campaign.
The book also offers powerful DM tools: new monster stat blocks for devil-worshipping vampires, bite-sized adventures where players team up with Astarion, and a fully detailed map and backstory for Astarion’s favorite tavern from before the events of Baldur's Gate 3.
Build a bloody new campaign or step into Astarion’s shadowy past with this digital expansion that delivers everything you need to craft a tale of hunger, darkness, and dastardly charm!
What is Netheril’s Fall?
Netheril’s Fall is a digital expansion that lets adventurers journey back in time to one of the Forgotten Realms’ most storied empires. This expansion includes the tools you need to play Dungeons & Dragons adventures set in ancient Netheril, a long-fallen empire in the Forgotten Realms.
Step through time-traveling gates to explore the arcane wonders of High and Low Netheril—complete with city maps, gazetteers, and new magic items that were previously lost to history. Dive into adventures set during iconic Netherese events, and face terrifying new monsters, including several new phaerimm.
Whether you’re a time-traveling hero or a lore-seeker uncovering forgotten power, Netheril’s Fall offers a rich and unforgettable glimpse into a legendary past.
What is the third digital expansion?
More information on this digital expansion will be revealed soon!

How will I be able to use the Baldur's Gate 3 Map Pack?

I'm curious about if the dhampir will be changed much from its previous version, and what those new Backgrounds look like.
Not having a subclass for every class is kind of disappointing.
Please clarify how...
How will I be able to use the Baldur's Gate 3 Map Pack?
These maps are only available on D&D Beyond's Maps VTT, which can be used for free (no subscription required) with your D&D Beyond account after September 16.
... makes sense, as Maps VTT is only available if you have a (1) subscription to D&D Beyond which is (2) also a Master Tier (highest cost, so furthest from a "free (no subscription required)" account).
I'd like to purchase the digital bundle but it seems the legendary bundle discount doesn't apply to it?? So I'm better off just pre-ordering the books separately and then buying all the additional content later and it'll be cheaper overall after doing that.
I'd rather then have thought out and interesting subclasses than kinda just forcing out uninspiring subclasses for everyone.
Is there any way to buy the Physical books (with or without the digital bundle) from outside US? I'm from Spain and I don't see this bundle in the WotC Europe site :sad_noises:
They put out a post the other day, maps is gonna be free with a basic toolset and subs get access to more features
There's no reason they couldn't have thought out interesting subclasses for every class...
Maps is becoming Free for non subscribers In September it was just announced a few days ago.
I just checked the legendary bundle discount does apply BUT I could only see it when I added it to the cart, though after that it is now showing on the store page, for me the price went from $126.98 to $107.89.
The adventure book has my interest, but I hope we get to see some proper preview content before it releases. Before I can get exicted, I need to know things like how many pages are dedicated to each of the five regions, how long some of the adventures are, or how customizable that intro adventure actually is.
Cool stuff, just sad that it's again like the 2024 rule books not pre orderable outside us from the start.
Honestly, the part I'm most looking forward to is the Circle Magic.
I'm also curious as to if the Dhampir will have the Humanoid or Undead creature type, since healing magic no longer has the restriction where it can't be used on undead or constructs. (I'd also love for it to be more clear on how their bite attack interacts with the Monk's Martial Arts feature)
It shows for me? I can pre-order for like $107.89 (in US)
My guess is it will appear on the EU store eventually (in a few days). It also took The Stranger Things Set a day or so to show up there after appearing on Beyond.
Can the products be purchased digital-only for a lesser price?
