Endlessly seeking fame, Harkon travels widely, earning applause and accolades. Yet, whenever he returns to a town he’s performed in, he finds he’s been forgotten. Lukas believes he needs just the right song or inspiration to make himself unforgettable. To that end, he…
Each Dark Bargain is unique, and a character can enter into a given bargain only once. A character could be bound to multiple Dark Bargains at one time, but each one only once.
At the end of the adventure, all characters receive rewards based on their accomplishments. For more information on advancement and other rewards, see the Legends of Greyhawk page on D&D; Beyond.

Armor (ring mail), rare You have a +1 bonus to AC while wearing this armor. This armor is leather armor with heavy rings sewn into it. The rings help reinforce the armor against blows from swords and axes. Ring mail is inferior to chain mail, and it's usually worn only by those who can't afford better armor.

It was a thin, stoop-shouldered man not much under six feet tall... His age was perhaps thirty-five, but the odd, deep creases in the sides of his neck made him seem older when one did not study his dull, expressionless face. He had a narrow head, bulging, watery blue eyes that seemed never to wink, a flat nose, a receding forehead and chin, and singularly undeveloped ears. His long, thick lip…
Read or paraphrase the following: Caset ushers you into their room with a quick glance toward the hall to see who might be paying attention to their strange visitors. Within, you find a sparsely furnished chamber with a bed, a wardrobe, and a writing desk, all of which have been pushed up against one wall. Blankets and pillows lie in a circle in the center of the chamber. “Chase told you the…
Every night since the gems arrived, everyone’s dreams have been filled with dark whispers. Students, faculty—everyone’s talking about it. Caset believes that if the party sleeps a bit, they’ll also hear the whispers and could trace them to their origins and the location of the gems. If the group sleeps in Caset’s room, Caset can wake the party in four hours. Hopefully, by then they’ll have found…
Jeholrak Infiltrators are specialist members of Jeholrak society, hired by Jeholrak Politicians to eliminate other politicians. They are, in essence, master assassins whose primary purpose is to act as a wedge in the complex interplay of Jeholrak politics. The assassination of a particular politician is usually requested by another who has less influence, intending to clear space for their…
Jeholrak Defenders are the rank-and-file guard of Jeholrak society. Their peacekeeping duties often see them intermingling with forces from many other species, and they tend to be well-rounded individuals, having been exposed to much of life outside of Jeholrak society. Jeholrak Defenders often utilise their pheromonal powers to enlist large and powerful beasts to help them in their guard duties.…
In nearly all cases, the power that is proposing a Dark Bargain is uninterested in negotiating the duration or eventual cost of this gift. However, there may be extenuating circumstances. There could be roleplaying scenarios or simply the current events in the adventure’s narrative that could cause the power to briefly—briefly!—consider negotiating. The GM has the final say on whether a given…
Ankylier Enchanters utilise their magical skills to add further value to the merchandise that the Ankylier forges produce. By commercialising their knowledge, they are able to imbue mystical energies into a piece of armour or weapon, granting it magical properties. Despite their magical abilities, Ankylier Enchanters are not generally turned to for guidance or wisdom. Instead, they are seen as…
Dark Bargains weave Druskenvald’s essence into the characters who dare to strike them. These ancient agreements bind the land, its magical energies, its creatures.. and you. The effects bring boon and bane alike. It may be best for some sinister characters to offer their bargains plainly, letting the lurking curses reveal themselves only when the time is right. Beware your entry into these…
