Homebrew Abassami Species Details
Abbasami are a rare sight and are beings made of bound elemental magic. Abbasami are mainly conjured by powerful mages to act as assistants and servants but if allowed they may take their own path in life.
Varied and Colorful
Abbasami are formed when a wizard binds a large amount of elemental magic into a vessel. This is reflected in their appearance in the fact that their skin tends to range from bright shades of red, to deep shades of blue, calm tones of brown, and pure tones of white. Their eyes and hair are just as varied, but usually will be a very similar tone to their skin.
Depending on the amount of energy and the size of their vessel Abbasami can stand as short at 4’6” or at heights of 7’ and they weigh roughly the same as a human. They can also appear as slender and thin, burly and well defined, are soft and pudgy.
Additionally Abbasami tend to take on traits from their creators or environments, those conjured in a forest my have branch like antlers or leafy hair, while others may have horns or ears that match their creators.
A Peaceful People
Abbasami are still relatively new to the world and as of yet there is no record of one dying of old age, although it is theorized that they can live as long as they have ample access to magic energy. However should that connection to the realms magic be severed for an extended period of time they will enter into a dormant state until exposed to extreme amounts of magic.
They are often reluctant to resort to violence and try to simply find a compromise that satisfies both parties, but if threatened they are just as capable of defending themselves as anyone else
Exploration and Adventure
Abbasami are rarely seen without a master and even more rare to be seen adventuring. Although most of the one who do tend to out of simple curiosity of the world around them. They don’t care or understand having greed over things such as money and care more for the experiences they go through.
Strange but friendly
While they aren’t most well versed in diplomacy Abbasami maintain a positive relationship with other races.

Halflings. “Halflings and Abbasami aren’t too different, we both like having simple lives, surrounded by friends.”
Humans. “Humans are all different and have a lot of ideas, it’s sad that many of them pass before their ideas are completed.”
Abbasami Names
Abbasami don’t have much of their own culture, basing theirs around what their creators believed, the same applies to their names.
Although, if an Abbasami has a child they may decide on names from languages they’ve been exposed to. When this happens they usually base the name around whichever elemental plane they resonate with.

Abassami Traits
Your Abbasami character has a variety of natural abilities, the result of a close bond to primordial magicEssence of Magic
As a being of pure energy you have a natural connection to the magic around you, allowing you to pull from it and give it physical form.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You can conjure up to two arms at a time before you receive a point of exhaustion for each arm past that. The arms can carry and manipulate items as normal but cannot wield weapons without the light property. You can also make unarmed attackers with the arms dealing 1d4 + Wisdom modifier and gain a +1 bonus to grappling and athletics checks for each arm.
Additionally you may use an arm to save yourself from harm, you can half the damage of an attack or spell but cannot use the arm for attacks or grappling.
You recover all charges of this ability on a long or short rest
Innate Spell Casting
Due to your nature you have a few spells at your disposal, drawn from the energy that binds you to the planes. At first level choose from Druidcraft, Thaumaturgy, or Prestidigitation for your innate cantrip. You may also pick between Absorb Elements, Comprehend Languages, or Identify. At 3rd you may choose between Gaseous Form, Counterspell, or Water Walk. You can cast your leveled spells once per long rest without expending a spell slot and may change one spell when you level up. Wisdom is your spell casting modifier for these spells.
Ability Score Increase
Your Wisdom score increases by 2 and your Intelligence score increases by 1
Size
Abassami can stand anywhere from 4 feet to a staggering 6 feet tall so your size is small or medium.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision
Thanks to your arcane origins you can see where others might not. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common and Primordial.
