Is there any thought to rating content so that people can see quickly (or sort by) a peer rating system in order to screen some of the less useful homebrew content when looking through?
I can't find a way to add or edit tags on spells, items, or monsters. If you create it from a base then it inherits the tags, but I don't see a way to add tags to brand new stuff or change the inherited tags. Am I just missing it?
Update: Looking at the how-to thread for homebrew, tag editing is clearly intended to be under the additional info section (right where you would expect it to be) but it's just not there for me. The magic item how-to even has a screenshot with the "MAGIC ITEM TAGS" section in it but for me no such field exists. Can anyone else confirm this? Is it a browser issue or were the screenshots taken from a different build of the tools? https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/beta-testing-feedback/3625-beta-everything-you-need-to-know-about-homebrew?comment=3
And oh, holy hell do we need some moderation options - people have published some truly awful stuff.
Currently, homebrew with more subscriptions/adds will appear higher on the list, so non-ideal content will fall down and down. Development upon a voting system and/or comments is being looked at though.
Tags are in the 'Additional Information' section as you're creating. (Bottom left in image below)

Subscriptions/adds? What are these subscriptions/adds you speak of? Are not they restricted to paid subscribers--of which there cannot be any yet?

Just checked again for monsters, items, and spells - no tag editing field appears for me.
Just checked all 3 in a private browser session with all extensions turned off - same.
Just checked in Firefox with no add-ons (I usually use chrome) - same.
I created the item Ring of No Tags and added a screenshot of my Additional Info section showing no item tag field if the devs want to look at that. It was made from a ring of feather falling and still has the notes and tags from that even though the notes section of my item is blank.
A thousand times yes for an auto-CR calculator - indeed, an optional homebrew assessor that calculates the "fit" of custom items' rarity, spells' level, and monsters' challenge ratings with respect to the suggested creator's guidelines (which, I believe are found in the DMG). My homebrewing is usually story-based and not overly game-mechanic based, so a utility where one can tell at a glance that they're not accidentally distributing over- and/or under-powered homebrew would be great!

Correct; The ability to subscribe to published homebrew content will become available due launch. As more players add certain homebrew to their accounts, the weighting of the item listing begins, detailing the more popular at the top of the list.
I just had a monster rejected due to having copyrighted artwork (a revision of the Atomic Mutant that includes an image). I am the owner of the copyrighted artwork. What is the correct means to address this so it will not continue happening? Or is this no longer a thing we can do?
Thanks!

I'm not sure if I saw anywhere to specifically notify you that I'm the owner of the artwork, but it was rejected a second time. :/

A commenting/upvote type of system will be in place further along in the beta.
Boo! Hiss!
Adds and views is good enough and while I'd welcome a comment addition, upvotes or ratings is a sure way to ruin a good system. I guarantee it will be gamed.

I don't mean to doubt your methods but is that really the best way to go about paid bonuses? The issues i can see mainly come in 2 forms.
1. If only paid users can subscribe to content and subscribing to content is the only way to filter the good from the bad then aren't you limiting the strength of the community? Wouldn't you want the input from as many people as possible to get the most accurate results? Also, what about things that are very well done but niche? I assume those wouldn't get a lot of subscriptions because many people won't see a need for it, but it would be easy for people to notice the quality of the monster/item/spell. (this is more a criticism of lacking a traditional upvote/downvote system, which i realize will be implemented in the future)
2. The impact of subscribing to content seems quite... minimal. As long as i understand your system correctly, for non-paying members they still have access to everything, they just have the inconvenience of having to remember what they like. They can accomplish the same thing by copying the links of pages they link into a word document. I suppose they don't have the option of adding it to their characters in your character builder, but they can also record that off-site. I'm also having trouble locating a list of paid member bonuses, so i'm not sure what i can suggest...
Are these issues not a concern to Wotc or am i interpreting something wrong?

By subscribing to D&D Beyond services, members will have the ability to add published homebrew to their campaigns. Could there be great niche homebrew that doesn't move to the top of the list? Sure. I'm at a loss at how or whom would be responsible for handpicking these and forcing them into recognition, other than by the community via adds. We may have a weekly homebrew spotlight to help with this, and players are encouraged to discuss as well.
Those who wish to remain with free accounts can create any private homebrew they wish and use with their campaigns. One could create homebrew that already exists, or one could recreate the entire PHB. Private homebrew is open to free creation. By having homebrew added to a campaign, you can directly add items to a character sheet and have bonus' applied. Having to edit sheets to reflect external Word documents would be a cumbersome inconvenience.
To each their own though; these are tools offered to smooth the experience. Some may find them more desirable than others.
I'm not sure this counts as homebrew, though it does not count as official yet so... will the unearthed arcana stuff be added anywhere, or be allowed to be added anywhere, once homebrewing of races/classes/backgrounds is turned on?
Not sure if it's been suggested, but it would be nice if people could rate homebrew content. There are so many entries it's hard to know whether something is worth even looking at.

Mine just doesn't have that last section.
In the sorcerer class use of the sorcery points do not change the number of spell slots available

It would probably be useful if there's a "notes" field somewhere for things like Copyrights or permissions and the like, for the submission form.
