This may have been mentioned already, but it's something that I just thought about.
It seems kind of counter-intuitive to make an attack with a ranged weapon, then have to scroll down to my items to subtract an arrow or bolt or whatever.
There should be a way to link the ammo to the weapon so I can subtract the ammo used directly from the Attacks section (or whatever the equivalent is after the overhaul).
This is, I believe, planned.

Once again sorry if this has already been raised. I've a level 2 paladin with 18 charisma (+4). However, when I go to my spells section it says Spellcasting Modifier: +4. Shouldn't this be +6 = +4 from charisma with my current 2+ proficiency modifer?

You refer to your spellcasting ability modifier, yes? So, your spellcasting ability is Charisma, so your spellcasting ability modifier is your Charisma modifier, no?
Your spell attack bonus is your Charisma modifier plus your proficiency bonus.
I would love a way to go past level 20, even if it was just so the proficiency bonus continued to scale like it does in Roll20. Or a way to remove limitations. For example, I'm playing an Arcane Trickster Rogue, but my DM is taking us past level 20 and letting me have access to 5th level spells now, so if there were a way to remove the spell level restrictions and other such things, that would be really cool.
The D&D game is designed such that 20th level is the highest level a character can achieve.
Progression past that point is intended to be handled via Epic Boons.
It would represent some fairly fundamental changes to the way things work for D&D Beyond to allow characters to progress past 20th level.
I'm not saying that your DM is wrong to let you progress past 20th - every group should use the D&D rules and modify them as they see fit, to gain the most enjoyment for their group. The more rules you change though, the harder it will be to use digital tools, such as D&D Beyond.

Real interesting, I hadn't really looked that section much until now...
Are these/Will these be "coded" into DDB so that they can be assigned to characters at 20th level in the character builder?
OT: these could also be used by DMs to maybe give temporary boosts of power to characters (I am thinking like the sudden boosts of power you can see in Saint Seiya for the Bronze Saints from time to time) that would go away after use or at the end of the fight. It would be a nice mechanic to use for particularly epic, "we can't make it (but we have to)" huge boss battles.

Ah ok, that makes sense. I'm new to 5e, when would i need to know my spell casting modifier rather than my spell attack bonus?

... and they are shutting down the people who already had all that working. SMH
Legally they had to shut down OrcPub. Apparently the summations used as a defense against copyright infringement were not as defensible as assumed. It is unfortunate, but it is the reality we live in. WotC couldn't allow an unlicensed company to operate with too much of their IP like that without risking the status of their copyright. In the legal world you don't really get the option to just buy out the problem in a case like this because then it incentives others to also use your IP in hopes of getting your attention and either a pay-day or employment.
All we can hope for now is that Curse learned a lot from how OrcPub was designed and the information and guidance it delivered to players in clear, easy to understand formats and used what was learned to inform how they need to update their character builder. Having DDB's builder mirror OrcPubs in a lot of ways would be a major step towards getting me to purchase digital content for use in that more functional builder.

I made the mistake of buying their legendary package, and now I have no usable character generator. So I just got an invite to a 1st level AL game tonight and I only have characters that I had generated a couple weeks ago, no fresh ideas tonight.

Buying the legendary bundle made the generator unusable?

I want a printed copy of my character to play with. The PDF is the only thing that counts IMHO if the fields do not populate correctly. The bundle was a waste of my money because the sheets are unusable. I was not using Orcpub just to be cheep, their product was free but because their product work well and I could play with moving stats around and choosing different options and go back and look at the way results changed on the sheet, and it WORKED! Now I am stuck with this product that is clunky (do I really need to see the explanations every time I flip between the "abilities" and "race" tabs"? Also the AL rules compliance reminder set-up Orcpub had was the best! it would remind you that you had unpicked content or too many source books used and detail why the character was not AL legal.

There's a really nice revamp coming up that should fix most--if not all--of that.

No; you don't. If you click the blue and white question mark to the left of the "Home" tab, it will gray out and you will no longer see said explanations (help text).

I believe that Tim is talking about the exported PDF version of the character sheet which unfortunately is not very useful. I may be wrong.
