Hi guys, I'm hoping someone may be able to help here.
My wife can log into DDB via the website without a problem (going via Twitch). In that case, she sees 2 characters (one a copy of the other I made to try and get around this issue. The characters are "Parvanah" and "Copy of Parvanah").
If she logs into the DDB App - using the same credentials - she see a different set of 3 characters, none of which are Parvanah.
Now, when she logs into Twitch, she uses her Twitch account name. But when she gets to DDB (the website), she has her DDB account name in the upper right-hand corner.
Is there some black magic going on here? The reason we're worried is that the character we're chasing - Parvanah - has now vanished from my Mummy's Mask campaign. And when I resend the link for my wife to join the campaign, it takes her to the account with the 3 unrelated characters.
OMG. I think she's somehow created two separate accounts. One of them uses her DDB account (JanettaON), and the other (which the app is taking her to) uses her Twitch account name. I have no idea how she's done this. *sigh*
I may have to recreate the character using the app in the different account - I'm just hoping then that I'll be able to see the character sheet (as the DM).
1) you shouldn’t need to remake the character. Send join invites to both of her accounts. Decide which account she is going to use for the game. Assuming the account she will use for the game is not the one the needed character is in, have her join the campaign with the needed character, and the once she has joined, have her unassign the character. The have her switch to the other account, click the join link, and choose the option to select an unassigned character
2) double/triple accounts here happe All.The.Time. So don’t be too hard on your wife. It’s really easy to do without realizing it. Ultimately, support (contact us below) can help get things sorted and get her down to one account, I believe.
ArwensDaughter - you suggested sending the invite to both accounts; is there a way of doing that that isn't via email? I've always copied the invite link and then pasted it into an email, and it looks like the two accounts are connected to the same email address. Is there another way of sending an invite that I'm missing?
Whichever device it's opened on will determine the account. However the quicker way to solve this may be to just go to https://www.dndbeyond.com/account and seeing what account(s) are linked to the correct DDB account and making sure to login on that one.

My current record of a user with multiple accounts is 6! So having two isn't concerning (and is a frequent thing). In order to clear them up it would need to go via Support (so we can verify, delete the extra account, etc.).

Use the direct message system that's a part of this site, accessed by the chat bubbles above; you just need to know the exact user names (here on DDB) of the two accounts.

Any ideas?
Make sure she's not accidentally using two different Twitch accounts. I know I have multiple.

Best to have your wife fill out a Support Ticket - http://dndbeyond.link/SubmitTicket - and myself or another Support agent can assist.
