Either no one has yet homebrewed and published their homebrew race yet (It's only been up a couple of hours) or the mods haven't had time to approve/not approve those that folks want to publish.
They do; it's primarily to keep copyrighted stuff from being published. (i.e. I can homebrew the Firbolg race as private homebrew for my own use on DDB, but I can't publish it for public use)
I, for example, am already working on the Zendikar Merfolk race and it's three subraces. I won't be able to publish them, but can use them privately for a play-by-post game I'm in. (Sadly it's on hiatus, but I'll now have a more accurate character here on DBB when it eventually resumes).
I'll be submitting my storm genasi subrace shortly. Hoping to see the feature get a lot of use so I don't need to constantly make things my players dream up that are canon-adjacent.
You should now see additional races and subraces that have been approved. As the main homebrew mod, my timezone wasn't the best placed for the race homebrew release today (I woke up, looked at the queue and then started to panic :P), and the homebrew editor for races is a little more complex that previous elements, which means races and subraces take a little longer to approve whilst we get used to the system.
I have been checking since i seen it announced but i haven't seen any homebrew races show up yet. Maybe its a bug for me or something?

I didn't realize they had to be approved?
There are a bunch in the Homebrew queue, but nobody has had time to go through them yet. Be patient, we will get to them.
