One of my players is saying she has a +0 to Deception even though her CHA is +5. Even with the customizable modifiers it always resets to a +0. Is there an item or something causing this?
I’m not seeing any magic items (unless I missed something). What is the characters background? (That’s something the rest of us non-mods can’t see). I note that the circle next to Deception is gray, not red or empty, so something is definitely different there.
It's an Acolyte background, and that gray circle was from me trying to customize the proficiency. You can see it didn't change the modifier (even though it should!). I've removed it for now to try and see what else is going on.
I can’t recreate on another ancients Paladin of the same race. My best guess would be badly coded homebrew, but I don’t see any homebrew on the sheet. I’m hoping a mod will come along, as they can see more of the sheet than I can.

The Skill Override in the customize section was set to 0. This changes the bonus from whatever it calculates as to a fixed "0". By removing the 0, it now shows as +5.

We'd need to have a mod or someone take a look, I don't see anything obvious in the way of homebrew.
