thunderous smite uses a bonus action but in my sheet it says that thunderous smite uses an action
The Actions tab is for all of the stuff your character can do, whether it takes an Action, Bonus Action, Reaction, or something else.
If you then click on the Bonus Action tab underneath it, you should see Thunderous Smite

Just tested this. All smite spells are listed as bonus actions on character sheet. Try posting character sheet URL.
