Hello, I wanted to print maps from the books (Lost mines of phandelver currently) to 1" grid size but office depot said i needed to have a copyright release even though I own the books on D&D beyond. Am I able to receive this to print the maps?
The fan content policy does not explicitly say "You can print our stuff". It merely lists a number of ways in which you can and can't use WotC content. It is the closest I could find for guidelines. In the FAQ it states:
Q: Can I create a fan page about your games? And use Wizards’ art? A: Yes! We love it! Just follow the policies outlined above.
So WotC has established that you can reproduce their artwork onto the internet, as long as you don't charge people for access, claim it as your own, or try to attack people with it.

Arock387 had a similar problem (at the end of the thread): https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/general-discussion/27513-how-to-print-maps
I can't find the purchase page that they are referencing though. You may want to try messaging them directly.

I don't think I understand which part of the fan content policy helps clarify that I am good to print. Are you able to specify?

Printing for a home game should be no different.
You will probably want to email WotC Support / D&D Beyond support directly for the best approval documentation

Ok, thanks. I'll see if that helps
