Last Week I purchased the PHB so I could us D&D Beyond to manage my characters. After the purchase I could tell NO DIFFERENCE between the FREE CONTENT and the PHB purchased content (meaning the additional Archtypes, Bard Schools, etc) were not available to me.
Today I log into my account to use the online PHB compendium and find that not only have I purchased it (verified in the marketplace), but I ALSO can not access it without re-purchasing it at a reduced price.
I am a tolerant person, however, I feel this is a horrible start to D&D Beyond. I hope that this bug report is reviewed and remedied quickly.
The first thing I'd like you to do is clear your cache. Then try the direct link to the Player's Handbook. If that doesn't work, please contact the D&D Beyond support site.
DnD Beyond is aware of the missing content issue and have been working on it for over a week.
I cleared my browser cache of EVERYTHING before I accessed ANY website this morning. I logged into my DnDBeyond account to access the compendium and was directed to purchase it again. I then went to my characters to see if the previously reported issue was resolved ... it was not -- I last I heard they are looking into it.
Have you tried using a direct link to the content, not clicking on a link to it? That's how I got myself access to volos, which I had through shared content.
Try one of these methods, and if it doesn't work then you'll need to contact ZenDesk, because there is something wrong with your purchase. Make sure to give them your order number, found on the account page under Marketplace tab.
OK... I messed with it some more and find that for content that is in both the Basic Rules (FREE) and the PHB (pay-for-content) ... I am able to access.
For PHB content (using the spells tool), for Spells such as BLADE WARD or WITCH BOLT .. when I expand them, I am not provided with the spell info as one would expect, instead I am greeted with a request to re-purchase the PHB. I purchased the PHB on DAY ONE of DnD Beyond. At that time the PHB was offered (and I paid - proof in my marketplace history) for 19.99 -- I see that they have increased that price now to 29.99. I am prompted to pay an additional $10.00 (not the 29.99) -- however, I believe this is error.
I have re-sent the information to DnD Beyond via Zendesk with screenshots of my Marketplace history, the BLADE WARD spell with the PHB purchase request, and the Full Page PHB purchase request showing the $10.00 additional fee.
Hopefully this provides the needed information they need to correct this issue.

A dwarf with a canoe on his back? What could go wrong?
Hi,
You should open a Zendesk issue if you think that there is an issue with your purchase. You can do so right here.
Did you try clearing you browser cache ?

Logged in this evening... I am able to access the PHB compendium online now without being re-directed to re-purchase.
Spells, Wizard Archetypes, Cleric Domain types, Paladin Sacred Oath Types from the PHB still not available in the Character Builder.
