The fighting style bugged. The player needs to go to the character builder and unselect the fighting style by scrolling all the way to the top option “—“, they will likely have to do that several times until it “sticks.” They will then be able to reselect the fighting style again and it should only be applied once after that.
Fighter 4 Warlock 1, Arcane Archer w/ Archery style, Dex = 17 (+3), Base longbow.
I think it should be +3 (prof) +3 (dex) +2 (archery style) = +8
Either I am missing a +6 somewhere or?
Check homebrew.
Check manually inputted overrides.

D&D Beyond FoundersNote that this can happen if the character is being edited in multiple tabs of a browser or on the mobile app as well as browser.
Not saying that's exactly what happened but it's the only way I've been able to reproduce this issue so far.
