When considering a strategy for playing a 3rd level cleric, I thought about casting Bless on one turn, then on my next turn cast spiritual weapon as a bonus action and sacred flame (cantrip) on the next turn. Since spiritual weapon requires no concentration it makes it a very good spelll. So you could keep concentration on Bless to buff up you and two friends, attack with spiritual weapon and cast a cantrip. Or you could do a melee attack in lieu of the cantrip. You in effect could being doing three good things at once for about 1 minute. Anyone see any flaws in my concept?
On following turns, when you use your bonus action to move and attack with spiritual weapon, can you only cast a cantrip or can you now cast a spell? I get it on the first turn where you cast spiritual weapon as a bonus action that you are limited to the cantrip but on following turns you use your bonus action to move and attack, are you still limited to the cantrip? This same issue comes up with a wizard that uses flaming sphere for multiple rounds.

You're only stuck with a cantrip--or the Attack action--the turn you cast it.

I just read your last post and started thinking. So you agree that in turns like 4 or 5 Etc. You could cast a regular spell like guiding bolt while using spiritual weapon and keeping concentration in Bless?

Throw in a little Shepherd Druid. First round = Bless/Entangle + Spirit, Second round = Toll the Dead + Spiritual Weapon

The turn you cast spiritual weapon, you can't cast any other non-cantrip spells.

Yes, that's fine. A bonus action granted by a spell is not the same as casting a spell as a bonus action.
