The mince is in an adjacent 5' square as you grapple someone next to you.
Position the mince so that their 5' square is on the edge of the spike growth (aka the mincer) area.
Move the mince back and forward over the mincer/grater to reduce the mince into smaller pieces.
Repeat.
Although as the area is a 20' radius sphere it becomes difficult to move a resisting opponent exactly so they get grated but you don't. That could be surfaced as a whole stack of acrobatic/athletic checks. Acrobatic to manoever yourself on the edge but not in. Athletics to force the resisting target to comply with being grated.
Warrior of the Elements with Grapple Feet is my new favorete. 12th level currently. Last night we had enemeys insite about 600 feet away. I hit them with elemental burst 3d10 and chose thunder as my damage type 20 foot radius burst as we got about 100 feet away. Closed fast the next round and 15 ft reach hit a caster 3 times unarmed strike and flury of blows. pushing him 10 feet over the cliff they were standing near. The Ranger in our party had laid down a spike growth and my eyes got all big and happy. Next round I Used unarmed strike damage and grapple and succeeded, finished my unarmed attacks, used Step of the wind Dash and grapple Fast Wrestler all 100 feet through the spike growth on the evil Barbarian massive looking Goliath. Round three I was able to again will a grapple and this time flew 100 800 feet up, 20 feet to my left and dropped the Big Bad 80 feet plus the bottom of the very long cliff.
The final round I ran to our wizard who was getting beat down. I grappled her and used Fast wrestle(no opportunity attacks) to get her to saftey and guarded her while the party finished the baddies off.
Wasn't boring to me at all. But we all see things different.
Cool but I don't see how you can grapple a creature and slide them across spike growth without taking damage yourself. As for the grabbing creatures and flying with them and what not, those seem extreme. Was that some homebrew stuff? I am too lazy to research the validity of this claim.
The grapple rules say that a grappled target can be "carried or dragged" which implies a lot of control over their positioning. I can carry something in front of me, on my back, on my hip. Dragging usually happens behind, but there's really no problem interpreting it as to your side as well. A side along drag should be able to cheese grater an enemy over Spike Growth without harming yourself.
That is how my DM interpeted it as well and with Warrior of the elements giving me 15ft reach to unarmed strikes and grappling attacks the DM and party thought it was a lot of fun.

carried or dragged implies to me in front of you or behind you, not some weird side drag. with their reach warrior of elements has some play here especially once they can fly.

You never dragged a little sibling alongside you by the arm?

when they cooperate and walk with you its by the arm its to the side, when they full resist and plant their legs it is not.
I made the olympic wrestling team before our President decide we were not going to Russia due to the cold war(yep im that old lol)...and I promise you there were very few people on the planet despit my being 5'4 118 pounds I couldn't tie up, put on my hip and carry or drag across a mat. Its not hard if you've trained for it, put the time in, and i'm pretty sure a fantasy monk has trained for it....but I bet you believe a wizard can cast a fire ball, a warlock can make a deal with a Fey Patron, but a monk cant drag a grappled opponant on its side hipe which is bonkers!

This is really less about realism and more about not letting players do silly boring tactics for absurd damage.

Warrior of the Elements has 10' greater Reach when they make an Unarmed Strike. Once the Unarmed Strike is completed, they no longer have that additional Reach and a Grapple made from further away than standard Reach would automatically break.

That is totally illogical as that means the character can never grapple.

This has been argued repeatedly in other threads. It only makes sense if you consider maintaining a grapple to be a separate activity to making a grapple, and you're arguing that "you can grapple at range, it just does literally nothing" is a meaningful ability.

No - it merely means they can only usefully grapple within their normal Reach. Grapple, unlike the Shove or Damage options of Unarmed Strike, is an ongoing effect that requires you maintain contact with your opponent. Once you stop maintaining that contact, the Grapple stops.
If the ability allowed you to maintain a Grapple at a distance, it wouldn't have been written with the 'when' clause - it just would have increased your Reach +10'.

It can't be written to simply extend your reach, because it only does it for unarmed strikes, and not for weapon attacks.
"When you make an Unarmed Strike, your reach is 10 feet greater than normal"
and
"The reach of your unarmed strikes is 10 feet greater than normal"
are semantically equivalent. The first is how they templated reach extensions, though.
IIRC, I have had somebody arguing your position argue that the second would also not permit grapples to be held, anyway.

ah yes magic exists we should accept anything.
It’s a power fantasy. When you grapple successfully, you control their position if you can carry them.

I'm pretty sure the word carry doesn't exist in the grappling feat or grappling in general.🤔
It literally does
Now, I would argue that if you're being "carried", then you can't be dragged in spike growth.
But that level of nitpicking is not the primary argument. The primary argument is "no".
